Owners/service Manual Problems of Chevrolet Colorado

We purchased a new truck and were shocked to see the lack of basic safety features. We are having a hard time getting in it because of a lack of step bar and grab handle on the driver side. The emergency brake pedal is in the wrong spot and trips us. The cruise light cannot be seen while driving. There is a lack of shielding in the wheel wells exposing the engine and exhaust. It is fully exposed all along the bottom (no shields as normal). The fuel system doesn't lock and is vulnerable to tampering. The interior materials are all extremely cheap and the a/c is very weak. The transmission shifts weirdly at times which is scary. You cannot adjust the mirrors because they are manual and unsafe while driving. We are shocked at 26k gets us a new vehicle that has so many omissions on it - it should not be permitted when so many standard safety expectations are unmet.

5/20/18 ac issues -- starts blowing cold then warm/humid then back cold. Inform service advisor when took truck in (6/18/18) for service. Tech not find ac issue. 8/7/18 truck in again -- ac starts blowing cold air then puts out warm/humid air then back to cold air. -- temp is set 72 and outside is 85 - why do I have to put on auto to get cold air to blow out or adjust down to get? why on auto it wants to freeze us at 72 and temp has to be adjusted up? tech monitor doors with ac running & were working as designed -- note they report wam to cold - not cold to warm to cold as I reported. Well the issue still holds and the truck's climate control (blending process) has as issue in getting the temp adjusted on startup. 2/18/19 - on my drive yesterday with my wife, truck temp set at 74 and outside temp was 54 and 40 minutes into drive the vehicle fogged up the side windows and I had to turn on defrost. Then that evening as temp had dropped, when turned on truck it blew hot then cold then back to hot. The blending that the system is doing is not working correctly. Need to go back to the manual ac/heat control!.

With the revelation of the gm ignition recall problem, there are much more ignition problems that were not included in the recall. The problem is in the ignition cylinder and alignment with the passlock or passkey sensor. My problem started shortly after the vehicle went out of warranty and I was told by the dealer that it was a $1000. 00 repair. I can not afford $1000. So I have lived with it. Because of the misalignment it causes the ignition to think that the vehicle is stolen and disables the fuel injectors, it has left me stranded quite a few times along the road waiting for the computer to manually reset after 10 minutes, it has also cost me several towing bills until I did an internet search and found out how widespread this issue is. If the misalignment is causing this to happen what will it affect as the problem worsens. This issue is not covered by the current recall but deserves investigating . Thank you bob.
