Truck only has 30,000 miles and always keep up on maintenance through chevy dealership. When driving home on highway truck shut off on busy highway with construction going on and no where to turn off when shut off. Radio was playing but lost totol power. . . No problems with truck prior to this and full tank of gas. . When was able to stop and put in park started up with no additional problems. Although as lightly pushing pedal to continue it peeled out as if the pedal was pushed all the way down. Was going 60mph when engine died and all lights including head lights shut down. . . Very very scary situation. . .

While driving the radio will go suddenly to full blast without reason. After about 2-3 seconds it will return to normal volume.

Driving down the road, vehicle in use, manufacturer installed touch screen with suddenly move on it's own, changing the radio stations, flipping through options, turning off directional aids, screen will flash. It has once called onstar on it's own. Also changes the screen in the center of the driver's screen on the dashboard at the same time so eyes are shifted to it from the road, causes a distraction. Dead spots on screen leaves you unable to try to remedy the situation. Vehicles has less than 50k miles. I do have a video available but unable to upload here. Continuously happens, not just once but each time vehicle is driven.

This started about 3 months after I got the truck and has been doing it since. On three separate occasions, truck engine shut off after stopping then turning right on city and neighborhood streets. First time I pulled out on a road where the speed limit is 55 so I was lucky no one was behind me when the engine cut out. On the fourth occasion, truck shut off after backing up from parking spot and pushing on gas to go forward. No check engine lights, no noises or vibrations to tell me truck is going to shut off. I have to look at dash to see if it has gone black. Radio still works, and I'm able to steer off to side off the road because it's still in motion from after the turn. I can put gear in park position, turn key to off, then start the truck like normal. Have gone to mechanic and dealership and they can't get it to duplicate. Chevrolet has been notified but has said they cannot help if dealership can't find the problem. Steering wheel also starting to get stuck in turn position when turning right. Right after the turn it feels like it catches in something and I have to force the wheel back to center. Starting to happen almost daily, but not for dealership. I feel driving the truck is a safety hazard for not only me but others on the road.

Truck won't start for 10 minutes or so while in a parked position, and at times just after turning the vehicle off, it would not start. Intermittent starting issue. Has happened several times recently, stop to get gas and went to start truck and won't start after trying the key and popping the hood to check connections. Would attempt to start vehicle and nothing happens, no sound when turning the key, but all dash lights come on, radio works, horn works when trying to start. Waited a few minutes and tried again, repeated this several times after waiting a few minutes in between, then finally when trying after approximately 10 minutes, the truck would start. Called onstar the first time it happened, while talking to person making arrangements to tow, attempted to start vehicle while talking to tech assistance, finally the vehicle started. All during this issue the vehicle is in a stopped stationary position, engine turned off. Does not matter if in a parking lot, gas station by a pump, in my driveway or on the street parked. Have taken the vehicle to the dealership, they were unable to replicate the starting issue, claiming it was my battery, they tested and it flat lined. They charged for a battery ac delco, and didn't put that brand in my vehicle. They put in a low amperage battery with low cca. Yet billed me for the ac delco. I have called them and questioned them. This is fraudulent activity on the part of the dealership, overbilling and not putting the correct battery in the vehicle. Still the vehicle has this issue. Initially started 12/30/2019 and then again 1/10/2020 and the very last time 1/13/2020, all after arriving to my destination to work or at a gas station, when attempting to leave, this incident occurs. It has been suggested that the gm passlock system is going into "safety mode" for some reason. This information is from another source.

About half dozen times my key would turn off the engine but not the dash (radio, light etc) then would not turn far enough so I could remove the key. After restarting and shifting through the gears a couple of times it would turn off as it should and I could remove the key. This does not happen all the time but is a pain when your not sure if you will get the key out at the store.
When automatic transmission downshifts into 1st gear coming to a stop, it lunges forward. If when nosing into a parking space with any kind of pole or vehicle directly in front of my truck, not leaving enough space my truck would hit whatever. When driving slowly with my 8 speed automatic transmission sometimes it rattles as if I am on a rumble strip and sometimes it just clunks or thuds. This and other shift issues make me even more hyper vigilant when driving. 6 months after I purchased my brand new 2017 Colorado, during a spell of negative degree weather I lost the following: my cruise control, traction control, four-wheel drive; my engine light came, oil light all lights came on and my radio stopped working. I was told by my chevy dealer that this was normal in cold weather. Next, I was informed it must be because I washed my vehicle the day before. This went on for a few months, with me showing them videos and them telling me they could not duplicate the issue. October of 2018 they replaced my radio because evidently the radio had a bulletin that showed all of the things I had complained about. I want to say this happened in excess of 10 or more times. Driving to my mothers one evening in the dark my dash lights were not dimming correctly and then went out. As I got to a four way intersection with cars coming they came on so brightly I almost got in an accident which prompted me to make an appointment and I wasn't willing to hear silly excuses.
This vehicle seems to have a mind of its own. You get in the vehicle to go somewhere and it wont start. Everything comes on, lights, radio, a/c but it wont crank. Let it sit 10-20 minutes and it cranks right up. And it doesn't do it all the time. It may happen 3 times in a week then go 2 months or longer without happening again. We have taken it to 3 mechanics and they cant find anything wrong. We have taken it to the dealership and they cant find anything wrong. The same thing happens to my 2001 chevy suburban! I really really hate this! we bought this for my daughter to drive and it has left her stranded, late for class, sitting a the gas station many many times! I see on these posts that I am not the only one this is happening to. Please tell me how to fix this!.
