I bought the car from a dealer in 2014 and whenever I don't drive it for a 24 hour period the battery will be dead and require a jump start. I've changed the battery 4 times but the battery isn't the problem. Something is killing the battery.

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. When the vehicle was started, the battery failed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the battery was replaced. Afterwards, the instrument panel illuminated without any indicators displayed and the gear did not shift. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 62,900.
Car was aproximately 10 months old with 5000 miles on it and battery died all of the sudden and car locked up in gear and could not be moved. Fortunately I was at a friends house and was able to get in out of heat. There was no indication before it died that there was a problem if was at night I could not have turned on the emergency flashers and in arizona heat could have died had I not been able to get inside. Took 3 hours for wrecker to come and take me to dealership . I believe that since this car s engine cuts off when stopped at traffic lights that the causes loss of power. Am 84 years old and never had this type of problem with a new car.
Key gets stuck in the ignition. Battery is not dead. If the key is turned fast you may remove it from the tumbler but if it is turn towards the off position slowly the locking mechanism returns to the retracted stage and won't allow the key to be removed. I can manually remove the key by pulling the lock mechanism forward while turning the key to the off position.
The car turns off while I am driving, no matter where I have had it turn off on the expressway and street while in drive and at times it the rpm idles while im at the stip like and parked. I have contacted chevy but they didn't want to honor the powertrain warranty and I was not to told not to come back to ron craft chevy. So I took it to miller auto body and repair, here in houston, they recommend that I replace the engine cover I did out of my own pocket even though its was supposed to be honored at the chevy dealership under powertrain. I still continue to drive the car but it still losses power and turns off while im driving. Last night the battery died, I replaced it with a new today but the car still shuts down and stops while I'm driving. I don't know what to do and why this is happening and why chevy isn't honoring the powertrain warranty on the faulty engine components, the stablility track stays and the check engine lights stays on and a traction lights stays on. I have done regular maintenance on this car every since I bought it, every maintenance inspections were all done by chevy, I just don't under stand why they play dumb when honoring my powertrain warranty.
My cars power steering went out while I was driving for short bursts. I took it to the dealership and they said that the power cables to the battery went bad but that it isn't covered under warranty. This car is only two years old. This caused me to have a small accident because the power steering went out while I was driving and attempting to make a turn.
The aux signal come on over the radio I can't listen to the radio and every now and again the onstar lady comes on without anyone pushing a button I turned off the blue tooth as well. Also every 2-3 months my car battery dies without cause every light is off this occurs when the radio starts acting out more frequently this has happened since I bought the car and the dealer couldn't figure it out either so I had to buy a battery charger because I never know when my battery will die. I even changed the battery this year n still it dies without cause.
I had an issue starting the car a week after purchasing it in February. Random warning lights would turn on and off. I read through the owners manual and it said it may be a security issue if the key isn't clean. I cleaned the key it seemed to have fixed the problem but after a few months it came back briefly and I'd clean the key and it would be fine. On the morning of July 30th the car grinded the gears and then had trouble starting as if the battery were dead. The key was clean. After a couple tries it started. Later that day the power steering alert came on and the engine bogged down and I lost control of the vehicle for a brief moment. The light went back off and it worked fine for the rest of the day. The next day after running fine all day while on an exit ramp of a highway multiple alerts began going off and all the warning lights came on and a moment later the car stalled. It would not even crank to restart. The rear caution lights would not work unless the key was turned. The radio and dash work and light up but the power windows wouldn't operate.

Can't remove key when car is in park. Two different times now. Also car with 900 miles on it failed to start and key was stuck this time also. Tow truck driver called, he also could not remove key. Checked car for anything left on, found nothing. Jumped car, it started, he moved the shifter lever roughly several times, key came out. Told us not to turn car off and take it to dealership. Driver thought battery was bad also. Took car in. They kept car three days. Were told twice by service man battery had a bad cell. When called to pick up car, service told us we must have left something on. That nothing was wrong. And we must not have shifter in park. Left dealership, no battery replaced, no real answer to why key did't come out. Did not even put car on a charger to get battery back to 100%.
