Check Engine Light On problems of the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox

Rear main seal blew due to a faulty pvc valve, and warranty will not cover repairs. Say it is because it is a know factor with gm and they will not recall. I backed out of a parking space and the motor stopped. Check engine shut off. Check engine light came on. Had it checked, intake cam accutator solonid valve curcit failed. It happened several tims before I could get home.

Takata recall. While driving in cold weather on a highway, my car's check engine light came on. After getting off the freeway, it start to lurch when stopped at a light. A few moments later the oil light came on. I had to have the car towed and repair. The repair cost $1,800 for a blown oil seal. After research online I found that this is a common problem with this engine and pvc valve. Chevy service bulletin no. 14882 date March 2015.

My vehivle has been shutting off randomly. I came to a stop at an intersection today and I hit the gas because my light turned green and my vehicle just shut off, right in the middle of the intersection. I had cars behind me. The light is turning red, so I have the opposite lanes traffic getting ready to go, and there I was stuck in the middle. I had it checked and codes p0010 and p0011 came up. After doing some research, I came across other people who are having the exact same issue. A lot of people! how has this not been recalled? esoecially when it puts the driver and any passengers in harms way. I have my kids afraid to ride in the car because they are afraid the car will shut down and we will get into an accident. And they have every right to be because what they are afraid of could have happened to me today.

When driving to work today, I was in the middle of parking my car. The car cut off before I could completely park. It started right back up then cut back off. I took my chances and drove it to the nearest dealership. Every time I came to a complete stop the car would cut off I. E red lights, stop signs, heavy traffic. Which became extremely dangerous. I dropped my car off at the dealership and I noticed that there were several vechicals that were the same model / make as mines waiting to be serviced. Also serveral of my relatives who has the same car as mine has told me that they are experiencing the same issue. The dealerships all across town are out of loaner cars and can't get to mine until next week. 3 people I know took their vehicle to be serviced and each were told they needed a tune up. After receiving the tune up the problem still remained. All of our check engine lights are on.

The check engine light turned on at around 135,000 miles. Following that, the vehicle began losing power, the rpms started to randomly spike up, and it began consuming a lot of oil. When idling or coming to a top the vehicle will turn off or begin shaking really bad and then turn off. I have contacted the chevy dealer and there is nothing they will do about it.

Bought 2013 Equinox 6/14/18 with 50k miles. On 8/14/18 while driving home on the interstate the car just shut down (scary situation with a big rig bearing down on you still have nightmares about it) . I was able to restart it and drove 12 miles home as it shut down 8 more times. On 8/15/18 drove the car 1 block away from home when the check engine light came on. Went to my mechanic and it read p0011 intake camshaft position timing code. On 8/16/18 when mechanic changed part realized there was no oil on the dip stick. No oil light came on for not having any oil. Car has 52k miles on it and the oil was changed the day I bought it. Where did all the oil go in less then 3k miles. I an now reading that this is an issue and will have to carry a case of oil to check every week now. If gm knows this is an issue why haven't they done anything to correct this. .

82k miles on the vehicle and am having to put 2-3 quarts of oil in car between oil changes. Check engine light is coming on every few hundred miles now and the oil dipstick is dry. I fill up with approximately 2 quarts and the engine is fine until another 200-300 miles when the check engine light comes on again and the dipstick is dry again. Had this issue last year in may in TX and the technician stated that the gasket was bad and they replaced that. Car ran fine for almost a year and now I can not go over 1000 miles without putting in quarts of oil.

While at red light or slow moving, the car stalls out. The check engine light turned on when 1st happened. Mechanic said either cam shaft sensor or crankshaft sensor.

I bought this vehicle I'm March 2018. A few weeks after buying it the check engine light came on with the code p0014 for the camshaft position sensor. I took it back to the dealer who replaced the part and changed the oil and it was all fine, no more check engine light. August 2018 I get an oil change on it again, check engine light comes back on for same reason. Why was this part not recalled like previous years? I will never again purchase a chevy.

My car is cutting off without any warnings in traffic and when parking also at stop lights. I took it to a local shop to have it checked due to the check engine light finally coming on. Only to find out my car had no oil. Note I keep my routine maintenance up on my car due to having a small child. Also cam shaft code my car is out of warranty and I just paid car payment. Reading complaints I see this problem is happening alot. Not sure if I will keep this car feeling very unsafe with a small child and car cutting off and oil running out without any warnings GMC should fix this problem should have been fixed years ago. Putting families life in danger just too make a dollar. Safety first is my #1 reason for sharing this my car cut off 12 times in one day really & I would keep this car . I could have been rear ended several times with the car turning off . I have to take the key out and restart it really on 2013. I can't believe this is happening to me once again I have a lemon and I know for fact I'm not the only one with this problem.

The check engine light is in. I had onstar run a vehicle diagnostic and the code back as a p00013. Then I had reilly's auto part run a diagnostic and they came back with codes p00013 and p00011 for the camshaft sensors. I've talked to others that own or have owned this vehicle and they all have experienced this problem. I have gas fumes backing up into the car when I turn the air that is dangerous choking and gives me a headache. I have to run the ac system off as soon as the fumes start. It's summer and hit so I have to ride with the widows down but that's not helping. But that's truly besides the point. Has backing up in the vehicle is dangerous and many Equinox owners are having problems or chevy owners in general are have continued problems with this. Why is there not a repair for this issue? I love my chevy but hate this issue. I have another mechanic coming by today to run a more thorough computer diagnostic that said this maybe a 1200 to 1300 fix because in his experience replacing the camshafts haven't stopped the vehicle from having an issue from other vehicles he have worked with in the pass. Gas fumes are released in the car as soon as the ac is turned on but they start as soon as the car is started.
