Has metal shavings in system. Very dangerous!!! kept up with maintenance & oil changes. Vehicle jerks, check engine comes on stalls out of no where. Mechanics saycommon problem they deal with. . Must recall or get sued!!.
85k miles and using 3 quarts of oil within 2000 miles. Vehicle stalls while driving. There have been similar issues with 2011 and 2012 where service bulletins and extended coverage have been added. Driving vehichle and the engine stalls. Had to stop and restart. Garage determined it was 3 quarts low on oil since my oil change 2,000 miles ago.
The vehicle had a recall for the windshield wiper for the rear window. Nevertheless, the engine started stalling and when I had diagnostic test done the mechanic explained their were metal shavings going into my oil from a defective engine. The vehicle began to hiccup on the street and stopped in front of my home. I had the vehicle towed to joseph cheverolet in cincinnati were service member told I must be mistaken and that gm had no recalls. I explained he must be mistaken and they could keep their faulty product.
Engine stalls while driving. Specifically, the car would occasionally starts up in "stall mode", that its rpm would be lower than normal (~500rpm vs ~1000 normally); in such stall mode, the engine and entire car would shake significantly on idle/stopped-with-brake, and would 100% stall by letting go of brake pedal without stepping on gas pedal; if gas pedal is stepped on but not enough, engine would stall, otherwise, if gas pedal is stepped on hard enough, the car can change from 1st gear into 2nd in a very rough manner, you can feel it physically sitting in the car, then the car would perform normally as long as car stay above 2nd gear with enough rpm. Car stalled in the middle of busy intersection / crossroad left turning.
Engine stalls at low rpm. Over the last few months at random times from reverse / backing up the engine would stall. The engine has stalled at red lights when staking off at low rpms, causing people behind me to stop suddenly while I have to put the car in park and start the engine.
