My car made an aggressive right turn on its own. Back story: I started up my car and started slowly driving straight out of a street parking spot. I noticed the steering was slightly resisting me. I made a right turn and noticed the car was pulling some to the right (I actively had to counter it). About half way down the block my car made an aggressive right turn on its own (the steering wheel turned 90 degrees before I could fight it back and come to a stop from ~20mph). While stopped I turned the steering wheel all the way to the left, all the way to the right and back to center. I got out of the car and checked all tires. There was no flats or issues with the tires, tire pressure gages were reading normal. I started driving again and the car was still fighting me. Thinking it could be the banked road (but never has been an issue before), I turned right onto a flat street. The car still was trying to pull me to right on a flat street for about 2 blocks and then it eased up and drove normally again. Two days later the "service power steering" warning appeared for 30-60 seconds upon starting my car then disappears on its own. Steering problems has never been an issue before and has not happen again in the past 4 days with minimal driving. The warning to service power steering is not consistent upon starting my car and has never appeared prior to the car steering on its own.

Power steering warning light comes on and says service soon. When I go to turn on ignition car wont start or even turn over.
On a cold winter day approximately 20 degrees, I exited off of the highway. Upon coming to a stop at the toll plaza, the car began making a horrible clanking noise, the engine reduced power notification appeared as well as the traction activation. The car died but started back up to get it off the road to safety. Had it towed to the nearest Chevrolet dealership and discovered the pcv system froze up and blew the rear main seal. The car had 103k miles on it at the time and was purchased new. Never had a single problem with it and always we'll maintained. Ended up having to replace the motor to the tune of $5,575. Less than 24 hours after picking it up from the dealership, it would not start. The stabilitrack and power steering lights came on and had to be towed back to the dealership.
Car would not start. Charged battery up car started. Inside controls would not work. Sommers dealership charged me $800. 00 to put a brand new blower motor in. Blower motor stopped working and now service power steering light comes on.
The steering on my car turns slightly to the left and to the right all by itself. It's as if it sticks and then turns. It happens at all speeds and causes me to overcorrect. Sometimes it is hard to turn the steering wheel and then it seems to break loose and turns too much. It does this while driving on the highway and on city streets. It does this going straight or turning. It happens during driving without braking and also while braking.

While driving on interstate 95 going 70 mph , the steering locked up and I lost power when all the dash lights started flashing. This was the day after I bought the car from auto showcase of belair MD. The power steering going out happened atleast 7 times in the first two weeks alone. I requested for them to take the car back, they refused. . 4 weeks into owning this car the power steering issue was finaly resolved. During that time period I found out that the car sold to me was stolen, the dealer did not tell me that and showed me paper work that was not a car fax report. Three months later in October of 2013 my car started over heating and cuttting power off to the engine while driving the speed limit on 95. It happened 5 times. A mechanic looked it over and said the head gaskets were blown. After a month it was fixed. One month later in December, my car would shut off on me while driving. I am not joking when I say that happened over 100 times. I have over 20 videos of this happening up until just recently in February of 2015. So the issue now, other than my car just randomly shutting off while driving, is my head gaskets blew again. I have been looking on line and have found this to be a serious problem for thousands of other chevy Equinox owners! why has this particular model not have recalled!? this model is dangerous to anyone that drives it or just happens to be on the road near them. When my car has shut off on me over 100 times ihave cut multiple drivers off every time trying to make it to the shoulder. This needs to be recalled! this vehicle model is far from safe and I do believe that you know this. You can look up any chevy Equinox forum on the internet and find these incidents.

Steering sticks when having to make a slight adjustment in keeping the vehicle to drive in straight line. This occurs when driving on a freeway at speeds above 50 mph. The steering also sticks when steering into a slight bend on a freeway. This causes an over correction in keeping the vehicle in the desired path. This over correction does not result in driving the vehicle outside of the lane unless you were already riding the divider between lanes.
