Abs light comes on when making slow turns. When car is re-started the light goes out until another slow turn is made. This happens 5-6 tim. Es a week.
The abs system attempts to modulate after approx 5 miles of driving. This modulation lasts for an extended period of about 15-20 seconds and happens only while braking. This creates a period of poor braking and extended breaking distance, resulting in several near misses. After the extended modulation, the abs indicator light comes on and the abs system is disabled. Once the vehicle ignition is turned off the system clears and the light goes out. This has happend 10-15 times with increased frequency. Sed.
Anti- theft system activates ramdomly and the ignition will not start. Has been in the shop for repairs numerous times without success. The abs light comes on at random. The rotors wear out excessively on this car. The cruise control cuts itself off while driving. We have also had sensors replaced on the air conditioner twice. Those are just the major problems.
Was traveling on highway and went to apply brakes, abs braking system light came on, and brakes didn't grab. Dealer will be notfied tomorrow.
I was driving down the road and the abs light came on and began to loose control of car. I called gordie boucher on my cell phone to determine what to do about the abs light. I was told to phone my Chevrolet dealer and make an appt. To have it fixed. I phoned trecek chev. In portage, WI and I was told that I could not get my car in until the next wed. But it wouldn't hurt to drive it. I continued to drive (approx. 10-15 miles per hour and the car started loosing control and went all over the road and almost went down an embankment. I stopped the car!!! a lady that was following me told me that my back wheels were not turning. At that time I phoned trecek chev. Again and told them I would be having it towed in to them. When the tow truck arrived the light was still on and the wheels were still locked up and dragging. Upon arrival at trecek chev. The tow driver tested the car as he unloaded it. The light was still on and the wheels were still not turning. I went in and filled paperwork out. The service manager went out to get the VIN number out of the car. Upon walking back in he was very disrespectful (I am assuming he seen that I had just purchased the car a couple of days before and not from them). He told me there was nothing wrong with my car and he had pulled it up to the entrance door and I could take it home. He said the light wasn't on and the wheel was turning. He also told me that when there is snow I should put the car in a heated garage to melt it from my wheels. Upon leaving I asked who was paying for the towing charges and he said he would take care of that. Today I find out my car is making a horrible noise and both front and back brakes/rotors, etc. Are very bad. It seems that there has been some kind of malfunction wearing on my brakes. When contacting the Chevrolet assistance I was told that trecek Chevrolet had put in a bill to them and said that they had replaced the parking brake lever. They never touched my car!!!!!.

Since the lease of this vehicle I have encountered numerous front-end related problems. The car hard 6,441 miles when I leased it. Currently I am in themiddle of trying to fix by braking system. I brought my car to a personal mechanic because the abs light was coming on and the brakes were not releasing. He removed the code and verified that my brakes were indeed not releasing. He instructed me to go back to the dealership because it could have beenm related to the replacement of my brakes pads. I made an appointment went to the dealership and was told they took it for a test run (10miles) and detected nothing. They contacted my mechanic and he reported what he had found and what was on the abs code. Dealership informed that brakes handled as expected and that no codes appeared therefore they could do nothing. The brakes still grab and the car shimmies and feels as though its dragging when stepping on the gas. I was told when the abs light comes on again to call and make another appointment.

Consumer stated the brake and abs light woul come on imtermittenly. It was said to be a communication problem (since new). The brakes have been in the shop(dealer) many times. Now the brakes release and coast at slow speed, and almost caused two accidents where the vehicle would have rear ended another. There are also complaints with the tires (incomplete info). Scc.
