Car Throttle Stuck Problems of Chevrolet Malibu

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that during warmer temperatures, the throttle became stuck and there was a sudden increase of up to 150 engine rpms. The contact had to immediately engage the brakes and shift into neutral in order to stop the vehicle. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offered any assistance since the vehicle was not included in recall NHTSA campaign number: 04v528000 (vehicle speed control). The failure mileage was 48,000.

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated the ignition was started and the throttle stuck in an open position without warning. The contact informed that the vehicle was not being driven when the failure occurred. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was 140,000.

When attempting to pass another car, and the car was accelerating , the engine seemed to take off on its own. Throttle seemed to be stuck and car would not stop or slow down, brakes were jammed and that is when the car stopped accelerating. Tow truck driver pushed tps sensor back in and thought that was the problem. Dealer claims " no codes came up".
