I bought a 2009 Malibu from chevy the problem I have is when you drive the car with the rear windows down you get this terrible noise sounds like a helicopter in your car. If you drive long enough it gives you headaches, noise gets so bad it vibrates the door panels and sunroof. Something should be done with this problem what effect will it have on children riding in the car. I talked to gm they tell me all cars make that noise just deal with it . Spend 28,000. Dollars to get your head pounded.

Modern vehicles are built with the sun visor built into the ceiling of the vehicle to avoid "scalping" the occupants during a crash. However, on my 2008 chevy Malibu ltz, the visor is not built into the ceiling and has the ability to "scalp" someone when they are involved in a traffic crash. This appears to be a design defect on this new model.

: the contact stated the driver's side sun visor drops unexpectedly. The local dealership was made aware of the problem and replaced the original visor. However, the replacement visor has the same problem. The vehicle has been returned to the dealership for inspection. Updated 2/21/2006 - the dealer refused to replace the visor again. The manufacturer was contacted and claimed that the were working on a fix for the problem.
