I have a 2000 Monte Carlo that I have had for only about a year. I got the transmission replaced with a remanufactured one about a month ago. When I got my car back from coleman taylor the engine was messed up. The engine now makes noise when I crank it and it smokes, so I am afraid to drive the car. The manager at coleman taylor insists that he did not damage the engine and does not know why it suddenly has these problems. I got the car towed to sunrise pontiac GMC for a diagnostic test. I was told that it was recommended that I get the motor replaced. The specialists could not determine how the damage was caused. I am afraid to drive the car now due to the noise and smoke from the engine.

While driving on freeway at about 60 mph the engine just cuts off without any warning. It has done that several times, leaving no power steering or power brakes. Consumer states that it doesn't make a noise, it just cuts off. Consumer has contacted the dealer, and the dealer has tried to fix the problem three times but it keep doing the same thing over again.
