The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the engine stalled and the steering wheel became difficult to turn. The contact was able to merge to side of road and restarted the vehicle. The problem occurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the ignition switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact stated that while driving 25 mph, the vehicle crashed into another and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained back, neck and pain to both arms no medical attention was required. A police report was not failed. The contact believed that the failure was directly related to recall NHTSA campaign number: 14v400000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While driving approximately 65 mph, the turn signal was engaged and immediately the engine stalled without warning. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and after numerous attempts the vehicle restarted and the contact was able to resume driving. The intermittent failure occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The failure was not diagnosed nor repaired. The dealer was notified and informed him there were no recalls pertaining to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

On two occasions, while driving between 40-50 miles per hour, the engine stalled -once in a construction zone area. Luckily, we were able to turn off onto a side street, but just barely since the power steering was out. The car has a hard time starting. It requires stepping on the gas pedal - just like the old days.

Engine stalled while going 65mph on freeway and would not restart, accelerator pedal was no longer responding to vehicles speed. There was no warning indicating on the dashboard. Diagnostic information reading was negative. Dealer was notified.
While driving about 65 mph engine will stall without any prior warning, just like somebody turned off engine. Had taken vehicle to dealer, and they could not find what was causing stalling.
While operating vehicle under normal conditions engine will stall while in traffic. Dealership has examined vehicle three times and failed to correct defect. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Consumer states that the engine feel like it stalls when accelerating and making turns, had engine oil flushed.
