My turn signal lights don't work sometimes, I have to depress the hazard light button for a couple seconds and the they work for a while but the problem keeps coming back, I have read about many complaint about the hazard light switch being the problem but I think the manufacturer of the vehicle should be responsible for the repair. I own a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

The multi function switch is faulty. My blinkers never work right. Sometimes I have right and no left turn signal and many times the hazard lights turn on when I use turn signal. The turn signal sound of clicking never stops, constant clicking that often starts buzzing. Quite often my turn signals do not function properly and I have no way to alert other drivers that I am switching lanes. It seems to be a common problem with Chevrolet and GMC and expensive to correct.

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss. The contact stated the hazard and turn signal lights would sporadically fail without warning. The contact changed the fuses yet the failure continuously recurred. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 100,000.
Turn signals operate erratically or not at all mostly during warmer weather. Pressing the hazard light button on for about 3 seconds usually makes them start working again but creates a distracted driving condition when trying to let your intentions known to other drivers. Symptoms are no blinking, slow and changing blink speed, and excessively fast blinking.
Turn signals work intermittently. Occasional clicking of turn signal relay heard despite no turn signals being illuminated. Hazard lights fail to work.

Over the past couple of months we have noticed that the turn signals on our 2001 Monte Carlo have started failing. They will be fine sometimes, and then out of the blue they will stop working. This problem sometimes lasts for just a few minutes, and recently we have gone for days without them working. After calling several dealerships and local mechanics we have learned that they have fixed alot of this problems, and are getting complaints about these turn signals. One gentleman told us it could be the hazard switch, but probably is the turn signal. This truly is a safety concern of ours considering we are never sure when we hit the signal if it is going to come on, or fail us again.
