Four problems related to clutch have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fluid leaks from clutch slave cylinder, causing loss of vehicle control.
Consumer stated that about 4 years ago, she had a throw bearing problem. Currently, was having that same problem. When pushing the clutch in vehicle made a loud grinding noise, as if there was metal to metal grinding.
While motor is on and vehicle is park, not able to shift into gear. To engage the clutch would need to turn engine off and shift gears, and then restart vehicle. Please provide further information.
Weak springs used in the clutch assembly causing noise and eventual failure. Transmission also jumps out of 3rd gear when vehicle hits a bump or crosses a railroad track.
