Two problems related to air bag on-off switch have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The vehicle was involved in an accident. The airbags did not deploy. Neither the driver or passenger side air bags deployed. The switch for the passenger side was in the "on" position.
Consumer was traveling on icy roads at 30-35mph and an 18 wheeler drifted into consumers lane. Consumer spun around, hit a concrete wall head-on. Upon impact, driver's side air bag didn't deploy. Passenger's side air bag had on/off switch.
