Two problems related to air bag have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Air bag failure / 2 separate air bag components replaced under warranty, separate events.
Vehicle collision due to failure of the anti lock brakes, seat belts did not restrain and there was no deployment of the air bag.
