Front Air Bag Problems of Chevrolet S10 - part 2

Vehicle stopped at the light when another vehicle rearended it, knocking the first vehcle into a telephone pole. Then it bounced off of the pole, hit the corner of a brick wall and knocked into the curb. Upon impact, passenger's airbag didn't deploy. Car was totaled. Consumer talked with the dealer about airbag. The dealer told him that the airbag didn't have to deploy.

Was traveling about 20-25mph when started to brake for a stop. Hit a truck on the side as it started to move. Neither air bag deployed upon impact. No injuries.

Consumer was traveling 45-50mph when a deer appeared on the road, deer was hit. Vehicle went into an embankment on the right side towards trees. Entire front demolished. Neither air bag deployed. The seat belts did not restrain the driver. Driver sustained injuries to the face & body.

Consumer ran a red light and hit another vehicle at approx 25 mph. Upon impact, airbag did not depoly. Dealer notified ,and informed consumer to bring vehicle in for inspection.

While driving 35mph another vehicle ran through a red light and hit S10 dead center. Neither airbags deployed. Upon impact, suspension tore up. Vehicle not drivable. Driver injured. 825145 dup of 825914; posted on 09-07-1999.

Driving at about 35mph, vehicle in front of the truck made a sudden left turn and the truck hit the back of the vehicle, causing heavy damage to the full right front of the truck. The airbag on the driver's side of the truck didn't deploy.

Consumer was involved in a rear end collision while traveling 45 to 50 mph. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed in which the driver's side occupant was injured.

Driving 40mph; applied brakes to slow down, vehicle not slowing. Pressed harder, pedal went to floor. Vehicle not stopping; wheels locked up. Hit manhole cover. No air bag deployment; took to dealer & will not touch til manufacturer looks at vehicle.

No deployment of driver's air bag during a collision, resulting in injuries. Also, vehicle was totaled.

No deployment of airbag in accident.

While driving 45 mph truck was involved in crash(truck t bone other vehicle), and the air bag on the driver's side did not deploy. The vehicle was repaired by the dealership. Damages totaled was $7,000. 00.

Vehicle hit a wall and the driver's side seat belt did not hold in the collision. Also, no deployment of air bags.

Owner has abs brakes and states that brakes did work when used, resulting in a collision; also, there was no deployment of airbag after crash at 45 mph.

Consumer was traveling about approx 40mph when vehicle was hit head on by another vehicle that had pulled in frontby druck driver, dual air bags did not inflate ,totally inoperative causing leg, arm , shoulder injuires to passenger. Seatbelt was worn during the accident. There was no indictation of defective airbags. $4500. 00 worth of damage to the frontend.

Vehicle rear ended another vehicle at 40mph, and neither driver's or passenger's airbag deployed. Dealer said vehicle was not going fast enough for airbags to deploy.

Consumer was driving on a road when vehicle was hit by another vehicle, causing first vehicle to go into an enbankment. Neither air bags have deployed. Dealer notified and informed consumer to call NHTSA auto hot line.

While driving at 40 mph, vehicle struck a light pole head on and air the bags did not deploy.
