Anti-lock Brakes Fail problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. While driving approximately 55 mph under normal driving conditions, the abs warning light illuminated and the antilock system stopped operating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the pump motor circuit shorted. The vehicle has not been repaired and the light still illuminates.
