Four problems related to rear suspension have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear end of vehicle has fallen apart, and consumer has vehicle at the dealership getting rear end fixed. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything.
Severe vibration from rear, causing rear to bounce across the road at approximately 40 mph or more. Vehicle been in dealer's shop on six occasions and problem still reoccurring. The manufacturer replaced the entire front suspension.
Rear end of vehicle shakes violently. Vehicle has been inspected,unable to located problem.
Vehicle has annoying vibration when hitting bumps. Steering wheel shakes when driving down the road. Tires have been balanced, steering gear replaced, new shackles, hubs, and tires and the vehicle still vibrates. Service managers states that it's just a truck.
