Two problems related to steering gear box have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle off in park, key turned 1 click , went in gear without foot on brake, crashed.
Cluncking under hood felt in steering wheel. I have a 2001 tahoe with the exact problem. The steering gear must be defective and should be replaced by the manufacturer.
