Three problems related to steering tie rod assembly have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tie rod came apart causing me to lose control of the truck. Truck veered into path of car causing collision.
While driving at low speed front driver's side tie rod snapped, causing vehicle to hit a tree. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
While parking vehicle pulled sideways. Driver lost control of vehicle, and it crashed into a tree. No injuries reported. Dealer stated that tie rod separated.
