Dashboard Crack Problems of Chevrolet Silverado

Cracked dash near my air bag provide a big hazard. I have other cracks around my dashboard also, but the thing that scares me the most is the cracks by my airbag. I could lead to pices of sharp plastic flying to my passenger if the air bag ever goes off. Please we need a recall.

The dash has cracked on the passenger side of my 2008 GMC 3500 dually. The crack is in between the air bag and the windshield. The crack is about 1" to 1 1/2" long. The crack appeared while the truck was sitting outside.

"takata recall". The truck has a big crack in dash above instrument panel. Truck has 35500 miles on it and is always stored in climate controlled shop. It happened while being stored inside shop. Never sets out in the sun and has never had armorall protectant on it.

Truck was parked when I got back into it the dashboard was cracked.

Cpsc:i13b0038a. 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. Consumer stated the dashboard recently cracked after a recent cold snap of weather. Gm offered the consumer a 50% discount, off the $1,000 it would cost to repair it. However, thy would not admit it was a design flaw.

The dash board cracked around the passenger airbag. I would think this would affect how the airbag deploys. Gm will not replace the dash, only cover half the expense. They know this is an issue as they have added reinforcements in the area of the dash the cracks.

Dashboard is cracked in several places, from airbags to windshield, and in front of instrument cluster. All on top of dash. It is crumbling and I fear for my safety if I am in a collision.
