Interior driver side front driver window button not always working. At times when this happens the door ajar is lit, while the door may be shut, it doesn't latch completely. This happens when the vehicle is in motion or in park. This causes the interior lamps to stay on and drain out the battery. I did have it serviced under warranty. Problem was solved, until today 08/10/2018.

3 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado

Backup camera too bright for backiup at night while still needing to view side mirrors. It would be great to come up with a sliding "on screen" brightness control for immediate control over the backup camera on screen brightness. Way too bright for safety / still needing to view side mirrors.

7 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado

Failure Date: 06/22/2015

When driving at night on any roads the visibility with the low beams is terrible! the high beams are what the low beams should be. It is very difficult to see anything in the distance or on the shoulder. I have bought chevy vehicles for 44 years and am heading out to trade my 2015 Silverado in for a Dodge. It' s the safest thing I can do since chevy says there is nothing that be done to fix this problem.

8 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado

Failure Date: 02/26/2015

The abs braking system goes stiff at low speeds. I have to jam on the brakes extremely hard in order for them to stop, the brakes eventually will stop after a 3 to five more feet. The abs braking system is extremely dangerous and serves no purpose. The vehicle works better after disabling the abs brake system. Please recall all chevy Silverados and tahoes due to abs braking system issues.

9 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado

Failure Date: 01/29/2015

I have bought vehicles since I was 17 years old. I have never had the whole left side electronics go bad like in my 2008 silarado, ltz. The windows would not go up or down. Either side. My mirrows would not come in. Extended cab windows would not work . I replaced left door electronics panel, chev. Dealer mechanic tryed to synronize with vehicle computer ($130. 00) found broken wires in harness. Mechanic tried to fix the problem and shut drivers door. Opened door and the wires had broken again plus it shorted out a fuse panel. A new harness and panel was orderd. A week later the new items were installed ( $606. 89). The mechanic then fould that the left rear door was shorting out and it needed a new harness ($500. 99). I waited another week and this harness was installed on 2-13-15. If I had been in a wreck and the doors could not be opened and I could not get my windows down I could have burnt up or the first responders would have had to cut me out of my truck. This happened to me in the middle of the night with my whole left side electronics going dead. A friend of mine also bought a 2008 Chevrolet suburbin and has also had to replace the left side electronics in his drivers door. (brad tuttle, owner of body shop) he advised that he had heard of many others with the same problems.

10 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado

Failure Date: 02/22/2013

Plastic tabs that hold the passenger side rear tailight assembly in place broke for no apparent reason, allowing the entire taillight assembly to fall out and be dangling by the wires just off the pavement. This could be extremely dangerous at night. The taillight assembly on the drivers side had a similar failure two weeks later. It appears this is a factory defect in either the material or how the tight the plastic clips are torqued on, resulting in cracking that fails over time. The truck is just out of warranty so Chevrolet will not addess the issue. Currently held on with duct tape as that is probably safer than a replacement if the design flaw has not been corrected. Chevrolet needs to recall all the trucks with this style tailight assembly and provide a fix to this safety issue.

14 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado

Failure Date: 01/13/2011

I see you recalling BMW cars for lights failing! why don't you recall gm trucks and SUV's for failing running lights? from their introduction they have been advertised as a safety feature! I would guess 97% of all gm trucks and SUV's have one or both of the lights not working! an obvious design flaw!! my 2006 Silverado has had the passenger side light replaced 4 times. If this is not a safety issue, even though advertised as such, it cost owners a big sum of money to keep repairing them because of gm's obvious faulty design!! why does gm get a pass but BMW does no? thanks.

16 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado

Failure Date: 10/15/2008

I began to have trouble with my light bulbs. When I tried to change bulb I found evidence of poor connection with the plastic of the bulb and of the socket somewhat burned. The filaments of the bulbs were ok. A friend of mine advised me to coat the connection with silicone grease. Recently a virginia state trooper stopped me for two bulbs not functioning. Same problem. Luckily he waited while I removed the assembly and, yes, the bulbs were fine but not making good contact. He explained that he also has a Chevrolet truck and has the same problem. A former employee of gm in aiken GA told me that gm was supposed to apply this grease to electrical contacts but failed to do so. This is a safety problem or the trooper would not have stopped me!.
