The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving at speeds of 10 mph applying the brakes, there was an unusual noise coming from the brakes. There was also an increase in stopping distance. The failure would occur intermittently and the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnosis of the failure. The dealer serviced the brakes and advised the contact that there was no lubricant applied to the brakes to prevent potential corrosion. The failure mileage was 23,000 and the current mileage was 24,600.

37 Service Brakes problem

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 40 mph, the contact attempted to stop the vehicle and it stalled. She took the vehicle to the dealer several times and they replaced the front suspension stabilizer shaft bracket. She took the vehicle back to the dealer and they stated that the rotors failed. The rotors are not covered under warranty; therefore, the dealer wants to charge $400 for the repair.
