Power Window Problems of Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while entering the vehicle, he noticed that the passenger’s side window failed to work as designed. Additionally, there was water leaking into the vehicle whenever it rained. The contact also stated that the brakes would not engage when the brake pedal was depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with the window’s wiring harness needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was relating the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,331.

The front driver side window regulator cable frayed and had to be replaced. The window has always been used in a normal fashion but should not have worn so soon. Being defective so soon made it very difficult to locate a replacement regulator and took me two weeks to locate one that was not special order.

Both of the windows in my 2000 chevy silverado will not work. This could result in failure to be able to exit the vehicle in case of an emergency. And the tailgate will not stay up.

Electric windows fail to go up or down in inclement weather/may get jammed in any position/if open while driving, may fail to close, resulting in dangerous situation for driver if in heavy traffic,etc. /window apparatus replaced twice on driver side and once on passenger.

Passenger window just stopped going up ,motor sounds like it still works but window will not move . I think it is the cable inside on the pulley.
