My vehicle has the recall issue described in the recall described in NHTSA campaign #: 05v379000 but because I live in colorado, they will not honor the recall. My vehicle antilock brakes malfunction at low speeds intermittently and the vehicle takes a longer distance to completely stop as described in the recall.

The brake problem occurs at slow speeds and the anti-lock brakes engage at the wrong time, requiring a greater distance to stop.
Anti-lock brake system activating when it shouldn't. While applying the brakes on dry pavement, the last 5-10 feet of braking the anti-lock brake system activates causing the vehicle to lurch forward nearly causing me, on several occasions, to rear-end verhicle in front of me - especially when towing a trailer.

While driving home from work my brake pedal went to the floor on my 2003 silverado hd2500. I crashed into the vehicle in front of me causing damage to both our vehicles. I took my vehicle into the dealership for inspection. After 1. 5 weeks there g. M finally looks at it and told me the brake operation was normal. I started to take the vehicle home and the pedal once again went to the floor. I found the service manager and the higher up person say that's normal. Now what? I cant drive this vehicle for the fear of another crash. Gm is no help.

Antilock brakes are activated every time I use my brakes. My truck needs longer stopping distances to come to a complete stop. I almost got into a major accident. There is a recall on 1999-2002 chevy silverado anti-lock brakes in my state of michigan but I have not received a notice and gm says I will not get one. I own a 2002 silverado.
The antilock brakes activate at low speeds without warning. They activate on dry surfaces without actual wheel 'lock-up' occurring. I have come close to collisions at intersections and also nearly rolled into an intersection when the traffic light was red in my direction with traffic proceeding at a right angle to my vehicle.

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The vehicle was being serviced for the anti-lock brakes recall. One of the brakes, due to the others not being defective was damaged. Two years later, the same defect occurred on the remaining brakes. During the previous recall repair, all of the brakes were not serviced due to the dealers specifications. The manufacturer stated that they would do an investigation to determine if this is a concern of theirs. The contact did not agree to any charges as it relates to any recall. Gm's recall notice is 05068. The failure mileage was 75,580. The current mileage is 95,000.
