Alternator/generator/regulator problems of the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban

Three problems related to alternator/generator/regulator have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

Failure Date: 03/10/1999

Radiator was replaced. Also, brake master cylinder was replaced. Transmission was leaking, and steering wheel rotation sensor (evo) was replaced, fuel tank sender pump unit was replaced, and the alternator was repaired. Middle seat belt buckle won't lock.

2 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

The battery terminal melted which caused acid to leak onto the alternator.

3 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

Sub died on the road. Alternator replaced 3 times in 60k miles. Steering jerks while turning over correcting could cause crash. Front disc brakes replaced annually. Replaced front left caliper and rotor. Too many problems with this peice of junk bought new. Local dealers no help. Just milk me for more money. Now transmission is leaking at 67,000. Dt.
