The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle with a uv light, he noticed there was a refrigerant leak in the air conditioning condenser. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with an air conditioning condenser refrigerant leak. The contact was informed that the air conditioning condenser needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN and directed the contact to file a complaint with NHTSA. The contact related the failure to special coverage adjustment 17336: air conditioning condenser (combi-cooler) refrigerant leak. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
