The interior door handle chrome is peeling which severely cut my daughters finger.
The chrome plating on the driver interior door handle split at the seam and almost cut my hand. . . . It would have if I had not noticed it before I grabbed the door to open it.

Right rear passenger door handle came off of door. This is the second one to be replaced on this vehicle with around 52,000 miles.
Both the front driver and passenger inside door handles of this vehicle, a 2009 chevy Tahoe ltz, which have a chrome colored plastic coating, have become sharp as a result of peeling on the top of the handle, causing cuts to the fingers of the driver and passengers of the occupants. Calls to general motors were met with acknowledgement of an existing and known problem with this particular part in this model vehicle and trim level, however accommodations are only being made to replace/repair those that were installed in model year 2007. The area of the peeling "chrome" is in an identical location on the identical part on the identical trim level of the identical model of vehicle included in the replacement program. It seems as though gm has limited its inclusion of replacement/repair to a limited amount of vehicles as mandated/suggested by NHTSA based upon its investigation, however it is evident that the scope of the investigation needs to be widened to include all vehicles and owners who are/were affected by the same problem. I have documented the injuries with photographs and numerous complaints to gm requesting replacement/repair have proved unsuccessful.

The vehicle was not taken to an authorized dealer to have the failure diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 102,000.
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe ltz which has ~53000 mile on it. I have in the last 2 years replaced 2 door handles and 2 door lock actuators. Dealership actually told me this morning after had 2nd lock actuator replaced that another lock actuator failed. As you could imagine I wanted to explode. I was livid, especially at the cost of replacing these items. I did not have an issue with it before they started looking at the other one. It looked liked they were trying to milk me for money in my opinion. I am astonished that there has not been a recall on these items, as of yet. It is apparent that these parts are defective, especially the lock actuators. Any searches on the web or discussion with any dealer advisors one would realize these parts have issues. The lock actuator issue is the most concerning, especially when you have small children riding in these vehicles. What is it going to take for a recall to occur, someone dying? these parts(possibly chinese made)are failing left and right with replacement costs upwards of $300 or more. These parts are probably being replaced with different manufactured parts but owner would not know. The dealerships do not want to show you the defective parts. Is there a reason there is no recall in respect to the lock actuators?.
2008 chevy Tahoe door handles coming off. Has 79,000 miles on it. Ltz model. This should be a recall cause a lot of people are having problems with this.
The interior passenger door handle began to peel. The chrome plating did not look dangerous until my girlfriend sliced her index finger open trying to open the door. It was almost like being cut with a sharp pocket knife.
The door handles are coming completely apart on the vehicle. I cannot enter the vehicle on the right side at all and now the driver side handle is coming apart more all the time. Eventually I will not be able to get into the vehicle to drive it what so ever and do not have extra money to repair this gm issue. This needs to be taken care at no charge by Chevrolet.
I have a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe lt. Recently the chrome plating on the passenger side door handle just started peeling for no reason. It is sharp as a razor blade and extremely dangerous. My wife already cut her finger very badly. This is definitely a manufacturing issue and an extreme hazard.
Chrome-platted inside door handles are peeling and fingers are being sliced.
The chrome on my interior door handle of my 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe is separating at the seem. When I went to exit the vehicle the edge cut my two fingers badly, more than just a paper cut. The chrome is as rigid as a piece of aluminum from a soda can.
2007 Tahoe ltz has had 3 door handles break during the last 2. 5 years of ownership. Am finding this is a very common issue for the 2007 model year. Door handles are approx $200. 00 each to replace. Can't anything be done by gm motors to make this right?.
The inside door handles are made out of a material that are glued together in the middle. The material is sharp and cause cuts to the hand or fingers.
The driver and passenger door handles stick then break. This has happened 4 separate times. I have to pay to get them replaced.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving 25 mph, each door on the vehicle made cracking noises when decelerating or driving on jagged roads. The dealer stated that the failure was unrecognizable and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a mechanic. The mechanic applied lubricant to correct the failure, but the noises returned. The current mileage was 18,000 and failure mileage was 320. The consumer stated did have tire problem, tires were cracking and coming apart. The dealer replaced all 4 tires. Updated 09/19/07.
Just after purchase, while they were prepping my new 07 Tahoe I noted that it had a dent in the rear drivers-side door in the ridge over the rear wheel opening. A collision center owner informed me that it could not be repaired without installing a new door skin on it. The salesman had stated that it could be popped-out. It obviously happened at the factory as there were no obvious scratches or other indications of impact.

The vehicle will lock or unlock itself without your knowledge, making it unwise to leave anything of any value in the vehicle, not to mention the increased likelihood of having the vehicle stolen.
Passenger's door wouldn't lock properly.
This is to do with people being able to get into the vehicle very easily through the door handle.
