1 Engine Failure problem of the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 04/26/2025

My 2021 Tahoe engine light came on 4/26/2025 as well as it began riding rough. Scheduled service on 5/01/2025 which I was informed cost of failure engine diagnosis repair would cost me $5,000 up to $15,000 to repair. My vehicle is basically new and why is my vehicle not included in the engine failure recall? hopefully it is an oversight. As a valued customer please advise, thanking you in advance.

2 Engine Failure problem of the 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 08/19/2014

I was passing on a two lane high way at an accelerated speed at which time the engine dies, no lights no nothing total engine failure. Luckily I have enough momentum that I safely get around the semi and continue to be able to coast until I find a safe place to pull over. I call my local dealer who will not come tow me as I am approximately 50 miles from home although I do have gm roadside assistance. I turn off the ignition and it does restart so I manage to drive to a nearby dealership and leave it there. Nothing shows up on the computer I refuse to take it home. Should they not be able to repair this problem I will hold the dealership and general motors 100% responsible. Thank god my daughter and I are safe but this is a tragedy waiting to happen if not resolved.

5 Engine Failure problem of the 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/15/2003

While driving at usual speed of 35 mph, down a steep hill my wife was terrified when suddenly the engine failed, steering and braking became difficult and, in her mind, nothing was working. She missed a number of cars at the bottom of the hill and pulled into a vacant gas station. The engine started for me after she called me on her cell phone and it was difficult to understand what had happened but the same thing happened to me driving and I understood the stress that she endured. The chevy agency(chase motors in middleboro mass was nice and curtious and stated that the problem had been fixed at no coast to us. The identical thing happened again ? time between and again the chase chevy replaced the part and stated that this had been fixed and would not happen again. It is happening again and my wife states that she will never drive the car again. In talking to a representative at GMC he stated that although that was dangerous at 40 mph to happen they did not consider that a safety issue.
