I have a 2007 Tahoe. I have 5,700 miles on it and my tires are feathered and ruined. Took it back to the dealer, and they said to rotate to back and drive it another 5000 miles and see if the front tires do the same thing. I feel like there should have been more done, but they did nothing. I now would like to know my options. I fear for the safety of my family while driving in this vehicle. The dealership said this is the first reported case and they want us to be the guinea pigs and see what happens.

The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe. Ever since the time of purchase, the contact has heard a knocking noise coming from the front end of his vehicle. The noise intensifies when making right turns and in rainy conditions. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer more than once. The mechanic test drove the vehicle and stated that he did not hear the noise or feel anything when turning. The dealer kept the vehicle for at least three days before claiming to have repaired the failure. The failure mileage was 71,000.

While traveling between 55mph and 65mph steering column vibrated. Dealership was aware of problem.
While driving between 60-65 a vibration in the front started to occur. The vibration would be so bad that I could bearly hold on to the steering wheel. It would then fade in 5 miles or so. I had it back to the dealer twice and they could not find the cause. I recently discovered that when the vibration started to occur I could use my left foot and lift up on the brake pedal and the vibration would immediatley stop. I have not had the chance to tell the dealer this new information.
Intermittently vehicle sways from side to side. Dealer has repaired vehicle twice. The customer thinks the pre set front end could be possible cause.

This problem has ruined the tires of the vehicle, as well. Ever since I purchased this auto I have been complaining about a front end problem. The auto dealer kept telling me it was nothing. Sensing it was a male/female problem I took my son in one day and they finally looked and said it was because I had "glazed brakes". The siutation did not improve after the so called fixed it. Shortly thereafter, I noticed something very funny about the tire on the front passenger side of my vehicle. I had already had the tires rotated so there would be not reason for excessive wear and bubbling on one tire only. I then took the auto a front end alignment shop. It was determined that the front end was out over 3/4" and could not be aligned without proper manufacturer adjustment of the holes. They refused. Chevy has acknowledged this problem by manufacturing the elongated hole on the 2000 model. Please be aware that neither chevy or my dealership would assist us. I was able to pay for this repair and have it done before I had a major front end blow out. Please, please make this information available to the public before we start reading about Tahoes as well as fords.
Truck vibrates at speeds of 45 miles per hour. Truck has been taken for inspection and the following has been done: change tires three times, rotate all tires, pitman arms have been changed, brakepads have been changed, roters replaced, shocks replaced, allignment , balancing of tires, steering stabalizer done, with all this this truck continues with the same problem. The manufacturer has never been able to fix the problem even when it was under warranty. We are unable to find a solution to this problem and wonder if this truck model has been recalled. The problem continues. Please help!.

While trying to make a right turn the car pulled to the right, then pulled to the right. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
This veh. Has been in the shop 7 times and problem is the same. At high speeds the front end vibrates. When you go around a curve at certin speed and hit a bump you lose control of the vehicle. This has happened twice to me . One time I lost partial control into oncoming traffic at 75mph. They have blamed the tires (although they replaced them 5 times) they have realigned the front, balanced the tires endlessly and tried everything they could think of and accomplished nothing. This is truly a dangerous to have on the road and is going to kill someone one of these days.
Front end shakes like something is loose. The dealer made some repairs to the vehicle, but the problem still exists.
Vehicle wanders when driving on flat smooth road and turns to the left far too easily.
Possible suspension problems causing vehicle to experience strong vibration / grinding in front end of vehicle. Dealer unable to identify problem.
