Chevrolet Tahoe owners have reported 2 problems related to radiator (under the engine and engine cooling category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Chevrolet Tahoe based on all problems reported for the Tahoe.
The vehicle has a faulty throttle body and throttle position sensor that cause the vehicle to go into "engine power reduced" mode which basically means the vehicle doesn't move. The engine is still running, but the vehicle is inoperable. This has happened to me dozens of times, in intersections, and I have to roll off the side of the road. Additionally, the intake gaskets leak allowing fluid into the engine. The dash cracked. We have also replaced the air ride shocks (ltz model), the connector will wear a hole in the shock. We have also replaced broken motor mounts and tie rod ends. Additionally, the vehicle was constantly running hot and we replaced the thermostat and radiator. The vehicle leaks oil and our mechanic said that it's the rear main seal that needs to be replaced.

About 2 years ago I noticed engine coolant on my garage floor. After investigating I found that the leak was coming from the storage reservoir rather than the radiator. I also noticed that my windshield washer fluid was also leaking onto the garage floor. I took my Tahoe into a dealer. I explained the problems, they conducted their evaluations and I was then told that it would cost approximately $450. 00 to repair both problems. I could only afford to fix one problem so I chose the coolant leak. They "fixed" the leak. . . For about $250. 00. The coolant reservoir leak reappeared several months later. The Tahoe was then out of warranty and apparently to fix these issues it takes lots of time and expertise. These problems are becoming expensive and continue to be annoying. I am being told now that the problems arise from the fluid containers rubbing against their mounting boxes which is creating holes in the containers. Any suggestions?
