Two problems related to anti-theft controller have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While driving approximately 35 mph, the transmission shifted out of gear and the anti-theft lock and battery warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact also mentioned that the fuel gauge displayed an inaccurate reading when the fuel tank was full. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 143,000.
2002 chevy Trailblazer. When you go to start the vehicle and if the vehicle has a dead battery, you can not remove the key from the ignition. The ignition locks up and you can't remove the key. I guess this is actually part of the anti-theft devices. This is very unsafe in that if you have to go to seek help. The car is unlocked with the key in the ignition.
