Tank is subject to cracking causing rough idle vehicle speed surges and gas vapors in the vehicle and around the vehicle. Vehicle will fail emissions. Manufacture recall was put out but vehicle has to be made at a certain faculty and mine wasn't, but has the same problem as the recalled cars.

The consumer has had the gas tank replaced twice. Both times the tank cracked. First crack occurred at a seam, and the second crack occurred at the filler neck. He smelled gas inside his garage and saw gasoline dripping onto the floor. The service soon light comes on. The service soon light is on again, and the tank is being replaced. There was no repair on the fuel tank or removal of the fuel tank prior to these incidents.
