Hit a pot hole in my Trailblazer as and my airbags deployed, I believe it is a safety issue that they deployed without an impact of any kind, body panels are all fine and in good shape but the bump jard the airbag sensor enough that it deployed them. This in my eyes is a huge problem and could be a big risk for someone because the airbags are malfunctioning.

The airbags will show that they're not enabled even with a passenger sitting in the seat. Then it would come on as being on but no passenger in seat. A lot of sensors have popped up in the electrical panel, on top of that the car kinda shut down on me and started going 10 miles per hour, as I was going out in traffic.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the front passenger side air bag warning indicator illuminated. When the passenger seat was occupied, the air bag sensor would not illuminate. Also, the contact noticed that the abs sensor illuminated intermittently. As of 2011 (while driving on freeways in multiple occasions) I've been having electrical issues such as my fuel level gage would read full and vehicle would shut off cause no gas in tank, air bags sensor would show it on when no one is sitting in the passenger seat, and there are some electrical issues on driver seat controls not working, dash board gages not showing readings while vehicle is in motion (rmp, speedometer, oil, gas).
Started with the service air bag message (known issue). Then the fuel gauge acted up and finally went to e and stayed. Now have and occasional surge in the fuel when I have the brake pressed (known issues). Speedometer starting acting up and no longer works (known issue). Oh and the check engine light is now always on. Started intermittently (again, known issue). Was told $500 from dealer when I called to report the service air bag message. Recall should apply to this vehicle, I don't know what the vehicle went through before I purchased it. Cloth seats/leather seats, the service air bag "sensor" is still broke! don't have the money to fix all the "known" problems.

I bought my 2003 Trailblazer 4x4 in July 06 and had to replace the airbag module 1 month later (54,000mi on odometer) for $350. 00. That was at half price because I had a 50/50 warranty luckily. Now late in September my fan is on every time I start my engine, hot or cold. Like everyone else with my vehicle make and year states that it sounds like a jet plane and turns off a couple off miles down the road and then eventually fails later. Gm needs to pay my out-of-pocket expense for my airbag module and fix my fan clutch issue before it fails completely, leaving me stranded somewhere in an unsafe environment. I always keep up to date on my vehicles to make sure I get the most out of them and do not expect random parts to fail prematurely. I'll be ?!@#$% if I am going to pay $600-$1000 to have this fixed after it fully fails to work.

- the contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet trail blazer. The air bag light illuminated for 6 months. The dealer was unable to diagnosis the failure. The manufacturer will not assist her with the failure and didn't mention that there was an existing recall #02v222000: air bags:frontal. The light illuminated for 6 months. When the weather was warm the light was not on. However, during the cold months it illuminated. The current and failure mileage were both 105,000.
My vehicle was repurchased by gm recently. The dealership that handled the transaction was vandergiff Chevrolet in arlington, TX. They did not respond to my calls. They ignored my request. They did not follow through on the paperwork required by gm, and they lied to gm and myself regarding filing the "warranty' with gm resulting in additional time that I had to wait in order to have the vehicle paid off to my loan institute and the remaining funds to me so that I could acquire another vehicle.

Passenger airbag sensor failure.
The "service airbag" light illuminated on my dash and I took my vehicle to the dealer that I bought it from. It was determined that a part would be needed to fix this problem (sir coil) and that my vehicle warranty would cover this issue. Once the correct part reached the dealership, I took my vehicle to get fixed. The dealership called me in the middle of working on my vehicle to notify me that there was some mistake and that the work being done actually cost me about $800. 00. I had the dealership stop work on my vehicle and called the chevy customer service number to further inquire about this safety issue. (the dealership told me that they could not guarantee that my airbag would deploy if I needed it due to the sir coil needing to be replaced. ) I had a few conversations with a Chevrolet customer service representative who finally informed me that "they couldn't help me at this time" and that "this service would not be covered under warranty" and "to save my receipts for repair". I have not yet had this problem fixed. I do not have the extra $800. 00 to spend on this repair that I believe is a tremendous safety issue. One of the reasons I purchased this vehicle was because of the presence of airbags. This malfunction was due to no fault of my own and I haven't gotten anywhere with the manufacture. I have been dealing with this issue for several months now.
Tie rods, multiple transmission module problems, airbag, taillights, stop, turn signal rear problem, electrical/ wiring, radio, hvac, pressure control,2 batteries, 2 fan clutches, among other problems.
Crash at 35 mph (front end square) driver and passenger air bags failed to deploy.
Air bag light comes on intermittently. Dealer advised the consumer to bring the vehicle in for repairs, out of fear that they will deploy inadvertently.
The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the instrument panel has not worked since she purchased the vehicle brand new in January of 2004. The warning indicators are constantly illuminated. She took the vehicle to the dealer several times while it was under warranty, but they could not locate the failure. Due to the failure, she does not know how fast she is driving, how much fuel is in the vehicle, and cannot read the odometer. Recently, the headlights failed and she took the vehicle back to the dealer. The dealer charged $91 to diagnose the failure, which produced a failure code at the headlight low beam relay cluster switch. The dealer replaced the low beam relay switch and ignition switch, but the failure persisted. Now that the vehicle is out of warranty, the dealer has finally located a diagnostic code for the instrument panel failure. The dealer stated that the instrument panel cluster failed and would cost $600 to repair. The failure mileage was 9,000 and current mileage was 68,000. Updated 4/14/09
