While driving on the highway in light traffic at approximately 70 mph and changing lanes, the side airbags in my vehicle suddenly deployed without warning. There was no collision, no contact with another vehicle, no road debris, and no apparent external cause for deployment. I did not strike anything before, during, or after the deployment. There were no vehicles within several car lengths of my vehicle at the time. Highway patrol was dispatched to the scene. Officer tj carter with guilford county responded. Upon inspection of the vehicle at the scene, we found no evidence of impact or contact with another vehicle, object, or debris. The vehicle was covered in yellow pollen at the time, and even light contact would have left visible marks or disturbance in the pollen. After examining the vehicle, no signs of contact were identified. The vehicle does have unrelated prior body damage from over a year ago on one side, but that damage predates this incident and was not caused by this event. The responding officer can confirm there was no collision or new impact associated with the airbag deployment. There was no accident associated with this airbag deployment. The airbags deployed while I was traveling at highway speed, which caused a sudden and dangerous driving event and required me to quickly maneuver to the side of the roadway. This created a serious safety risk to me and to surrounding traffic. Prior to this incident, there were no warning lights, safety alerts, or service notifications indicating an issue with the airbag system or vehicle safety systems. However, a notification did appear in the my Chevrolet app at or around the time of the incident. The vehicle has not yet been fully inspected following the incident. A safety claim has been submitted to general motors. I also have video footage of the highway patrol officer cutting down the airbags on-site but cannot add that below so I have added a screenshot.

I was in a collision. Traveling a four lane highway during daylight ours with no in-climate weather. The car in front of a line of approximately 4 cars missed their exit and slammed on his breaks to make a right turn from the driving lane. The line of cars in front of me stopped and/or left the roadway to avoid a collision. I was unable to stop in time and had nowhere to go and I rear-ended the car in front of me, which was fully stopped in the lane. According to my dash camera my speed on impact was approximately 45 mph. No front end collision warning alarms went off. No automatic breaking occurred. No airbag deployed. None of the vehicle safety and anti collision measures performed as I had expected. $10,000 worth of damage to my car alone.
I was driving and a girl pulled out from a stop sign and hit my passenger side front of my Trailblazer. Her airbags deployed immediately, meanwhile mine didn't deploy. My husband saved my face by throwing his arm over me!.

Vehicle diagnostic summary – trouble codes explained 1. P0562 – system voltage low the vehicle’s electrical system is running at low voltage. This could be due to a weak battery, a failing alternator, or poor electrical connections. It may cause various electronic issues and unexpected shutdowns if not fixed. 2. P1005 – fuel level sensor control module: too many resets the fuel level sensor module has been reset too many times, likely due to electrical glitches. This may cause the fuel gauge to be inaccurate or unstable. 3. P14c0 / p14cd – fuel pump driver control module signal error there is a configuration signal error from the fuel pump control module. This could lead to fuel delivery problems, starting issues, or engine stalling if it worsens. 4. U0151 – lost communication with airbag control module (srs) the system lost contact with the airbag diagnostic module. This may affect airbag deployment during a crash, making it a serious safety concern.

I was driving on the highway going 65mph which is the legal speed limit. I got cut off by a driver and light tapped my brakes to slow the vehicle down. When I did so the vehicle then swerved to the left and started drifting sideways directly to a wall. I went head on with the wall. Then I bounced back across all lanes of traffic again still sideways and drifting hitting another wall. Which is where the vehicle ended at the stopping point of the accident. No airbags deployed in the accident. The driver behind me who witness the crash stated that the vehicle started to loose traction before I hit my brakes and me hitting my brakes caused the vehicle to them loose full control. I was in the process of buying this vehicle from gresham Ford in oregon. I was told the vehicle was 100% road safe and passed safety inspections. Which is false.

-the airbag(s) did not deploy. (**attached police report says it did, but I have pictures showing it didn't, and they are currently in process of correcting the report) I have to pay to get the police report, so since I just obtained it on 3/13, I will wait a few days to get the corrected copy, to ensure it's complete. -the vehicle is either at the towing company or at the insurance company being inspected, but I'm sure it can be available. -I was in a traffic accident with injuries where if the airbags had deployed the injuries could have been prevented. -unknown if it has been reproduced or confirmed, but I would guess no. -insurance company was going to pick the vehicle up from the towing company and bring it to their venue to inspect. I'm unsure if that has happened yet. -no.
The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the seat belt pretensioner needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 186,228.
The airbags failed to deploy in a significant collision where hood, radiator, grill/number and both headlights were damaged. Gm has been contacted and fail and refuse to do an inspection stating the issue is time barred to 10 years to original warranty of vehicle and are failing to acknowledge manufacturer defect or issue a recall. There were no warning signs/lights prior to notify that the airbags would fail to deploy in an accident. The vehicle has not inspected, even a request has been made on multiple occassions, with getting the runaround and claim closed. The lack of safety puts other drivers/owners of the 2005 Trailblazer and or similar vehicles at risk, at time they will need it the most to find out airbags are defective and will not work. Injuries and lives are at risk only for gm to run a cover up and not stand up to do what is right. Police report number a23-11986, adams CO sheriff's office, could not upload.
Service airbag light came on last week. Took vehicle to dealership to fix. Parts are discontinued so airbag cannot be fixed per ferman Chevrolet dealership. Also told me that airbag will not work if in an accident.

My vehicle was struck on the left front drivers side while traveling 55 mph. My car flipped multiple times, but when it came to a rest on the drivers side, my head was trapped between the driver's window and the side curtain airbag. I couldn't move the airbag, so I had to move my seat back and bend my neck/head back and down out to get free. My face/head/neck/upper shoulder suffered bruising on the right side of my body from impact of the airbag. This shouldn't have been the case - the deployment should have impacted the left side of my face. I am in belief that the deployment of this side curtain airbag was late in protecting me in this collision.
The contact’s daughter owns a 2022 Chevrolet trailbazer. The contact stated that while her daughter’s vehicle was idled at a stop, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle. As a result, the contact’s daughter crashed into the rear of another vehicle in front of her. The air bags failed to deploy. Medical attention was required. The contact’s daughter and the front passenger both sustained muscle soreness. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however, no diagnoses was determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was advised to call the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated she fell asleep while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle graced two trees, and crashed into the third tree on the front driver side bumper. The contact stated no air bags were deployed. The contact sustained a fractured rib on her left side, a lesion on her right leg, and a lesion on her chest and abdomen due to the seat belt. The contact did sought medical attention. The police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The police towed the vehicle to a towing lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.
Someone pulled out in front of me going 45 mph and totaled my car when they smashed into the front drivers side of my vehicle. My airbags didn’t deploy and no warning notifications or emergency braking ever occurred. This is dangerous and was severe enough to total my vehicle. My airbags should have deployed. No warning lights or any other issues when it occurred. It was inspected by insurance and determined a total loss.
In a very severe head on crash 4/8/2022 the air bag did not deploy.

Brakes failed for no apparent reason around 8:00 am that morning. My friend and I was driving to my home in his 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer after many stops that morning. We was on the interstate doing 65 mph. I noticed the traffic ahead approaching and I said "cars" indicating to my friend to slow down. He said "I have no brakes!" we narrowly missed the first cars and while readjusting we came into contact with the driver side of three vehicles rolling us on our side! I broke both my arms escaping thankfully with my life. We had no idea what suddenly and unexpectedly lost brakes. Weeks afterwards I started reading about the stabilitrac and steering sensor on the 1 of many Chevrolet vehicle defect issues. Around that year and I believe was the problem. I have been out of work and tried to explain this to people with no reply. I read an article about Chevrolet told about the issue and refused a recall. Senator blumenthal requested an investigation but I haven't seen anything after a judge requested a Chevrolet ceo deposed. If this vehicle has these dangerous problems please know that it almost killed my friend and I. Https://gmauthority. Com/blog/2021/03/u-s-senator-asks-NHTSA-to-investigate-gm-over-faulty-steering-sensor/ thanks if anyone is listening. Benjamin mick.
Airbag on drivers side deployed from the drivers seat without being hit. Opened my car door and the bag was deployed. Car was parked in my driveway.
My husband was entering the highway and upon acceleration from roughly 35mph to roughly around 50mph (while taking the entrance slight right) all of the air bags deployed.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer (the VIN was unavailable). The contact stated that while driving 40 mph when they did not notice that the cars ahead had stopped and they ended up rear ending them. The vehicle's air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and totaled. The contact received chest and head injuries. Medical attention was needed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.
On June 10, 2021 I was driving home at a speed of approx 65 miles an hour from the grocery store on interstate 255 when all my side airbags suddenly exploded. My 2021 chevy Trailblazer rs was 3 months old and had 3500 miles on the car. After exiting the vehicle, I found the rear passenger tire was flat. Upon changing the tire, we discovered that the wheel had split apart. There is no damage to the body or underneath the vehicle. There was no large potholes or debris anywhere in the area. Upon starting the investigation with gm regarding the incident, they reported that the air bags acted as they should and they would not take liability. When both myself and the service manager of the dealership questioned why the report had not one single mention of the tire/wheel which caused the deployment of the airbags in the entire investigative report, we were both told "the airbags acted as they should" and the decision was final. The service manager was in shock and has stated repeatedly that based on the facts gathered and condition of the tire/wheel, there was some sort of defect in the wheel which caused it to explode. There is absolutely no evidence to make him think that I hit anything or caused the incident. Gm will not discuss the case any further and told me to turn it over to my insurance. The fact that they did not investigate the cause (the exploding of a wheel for no apparent reason) makes me believe they are trying to cover up a potential issue that could impact the safety of other 2021 Trailblazer owners. The air bag replacements are on backorder and are predicted to take months. I am currently without a vehicle.
Yes I was driving on the 65 miles an hour in the passenger lane are carpool lane all the sudden for no reason both curtain airbags just deployed I had my head right next to knock me out cold I didn't proceed over and hit the wall 21 times just skip down in when I came to I thought I was I thought it and other vehicles likely that was not the case did cause some testa injury hurt might pull my car allegedly for my ribcage in got my neck in my head I see this is happened many times the 2008 but yet they keep saying there's no problem that even though it's a 2% lean and exposed the 16 for the role over to kick in that escape screwing everybody yeah the vehicles on the highway going straight no turns no bombs nothing just deployed I have video pictures of the wall it screwed up my rams and of course the 4 wheel drive messed up and show the back axle in the pumpkin so now thats whining so I know it's gonna fail soon power steering linkin truck never lead to drop another with silent at the great v6 in it now the front end steering all screwed up and I can see that it's happened many many times before.

Takata recall/ I was in a accident and my air bags never went off why is that I thought it was a saftey feature?.
I was driving down the road and it was raining pretty hard. I hit a pothole that was not visible and my airbags, only on the sides, deployed.
"takata recall" I was recently in a car accident that was listed in the police report as a head on collision and not one airbag deployed. The impact as I was told was hard enough that the airbags should have deployed.
The airbag deactivated light on the dash cluster comes on and off but mostly stays on now. No codes showing the cause. While driving both low beam headlights suddenly turned off, later diagnosis showed an electrical issue that melted both low beam light connectors and wires at the bulb end, new connectors were installed. Two different times within 1yr the heater blower motor relay has gotten hot enough to melt the connector and burn out the relay, connector replaced twice and currently melting again as fan speed 1, 4, and 5 have again stopped working. Heater blower motor also replaced twice concurrent with relay.
It bag for front driver light is on do not know why? there is some kind of electrical short and I've had it checked by two companies cannot find it I've had new battery, new alternator and still car stops working I get car jumped and can put key in ignition to try to start car and when I shut car off too soon or why I try to start car it's not working and then I cannot get key out of the ignition this has happened at least 5 times car only has 84883 miles on it this happenes if front of house when I go to start car. I am listing last time this happened was today but the airbag for the drivers side is always on now for about 5 months.
Was traveling 40 mph and was hit head on by another vehicle. None of the air bags deployed. Was on a city street with a 40 mph speed limit. Going straight.
On August 18, 2017, I leased-to-own a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer from action auto of tupelo, ms. Around the first week of October of 2018, I had lend said vehicle to my sister. She contacted me saying that the engine was making a knocking noise, and brought the vehicle back to me, where I inspected it while it was stationary. To rule out everything else before I acknowledged the sound of the knock being a severe mechanical failure of the engine, I connected a diagnostic scanner to the can data connector on the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. In seconds the screen on the scanner was flooded with faults, but then the scanner started beeping, saying that the srs (supplemental restraint system) had been activated. Looking around the vehicle I didn't see any sign of any airbag being deployed, or any seatbelt missing. It wasn't until I checked the connectors coming out of the airbag module that I saw for the first time that the airbags were missing. I informed my insurance provider regarding the issue, which they assumed that the vehicle was in a current accident. In which it was not. After further explanation, they cancelled the insurance as airbag deployment are one of the critical key factors that insurance providers use to determine whether a vechicle is totaled or not. I contacted action auto of oxford, ms, their main branch I presume, and informed them of the problem and to come and retrieve the vehicle as driving it without insurance is a violation of mississippi's state's law, and the engine had experienced severe mechanical failure which made it unsafe to drive. Action auto retrieved the vehicle, but stated that I had broke promises in our agreement, and that the vehicle would be auctioned off this year, in which they did. Federal law requires all vehicles made after 1997 are equipped with airbags and title 49 30112 forbids the sell of a non-conforming vehicle.
We hydroplaned going about 40mph in raining conditions near richlands, nc on hwy 258. Overcorrected, fishtailed again into oncoming traffic, was hit in the driverside rear by a another car, hit the curb and rolled three times.
2006 chevy Trailblazer spun out on snow while my daughter was driving. It went towards the left then immediately jerked around to the right and continued to gain speed as it launched us off the roadway and into a group of trees. The brake pedal wouldn't budge, the steering wheel continued to turn in circles not controlling the tires at all. The backseat broke apart before impact and was throwing my teenage son around in the back. The front seats broke loose as well and slammed both driver and passenger into the dash during impact. The seatbelts did not engage to lock into place like they are supposed to and despite full frontal damage and a SUV deemed totalled/destroyed by my insurance company, not a single airbag deployed or attempted to deploy. We were all trapped inside the vehicle down an embankment and all sustained injuries in the crash including cuts, bruises, whiplash, and my daughter had a concussion. My daughter had a vp shunt placed in her brain last year and could've easily died in this crash due to her injuries. Something needs to be done about these airbags and seatbelts not working!!.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While the vehicle was idling, the contact attempted to latch herself in the vehicle and the driver's air bag spontaneously deployed. There were no injuries. Mike anderson Chevrolet of chicago (5333 w irving park rd, chicago, IL) was contacted and advised the contact to notify the manufacturer and insurance company. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they needed the contact to send them pictures as evidence of the failure. No further assistance was offered by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
Takata recall - I believe this is a takata recall, thought I can't find the information. I have a 2003 chevy Trailblazer. We recently had a high impact collision resulting in injuries, directly as a result of a failure of airbags to deploy upon impact. The vehicle was in motion, traveling straight at approximately 45 miles per hour, when we struck another vehicle in the road illegally.
