Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps Problems of Chevrolet Trailblazer

Chevrolet Trailblazer owners have reported 3 problems related to navigational (global positioning system) gps (under the equipment category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/14/2013

While traveling we noticed the we were being passed excessively, we looked at the speedometer and saw that we were doing slightly above the speed limit. Out of curiosity we checked our speed against our gps / Smart phone and saw that we were doing 30 mph under the speed being reported by our speedometer. After searching on the internet we found that 100's if not 1000's are having the same issue or even sometimes in reverse where it states that they are doing 120 mph when they are only doing a fraction of that. In addition we have found that there has been a recall on this same part on other gm vehicles for the exact same reason but the Trailblazer was excluded for whatever reason. How can not knowing how fast your actually going not be a major hazard especially with a proven history of failures.

2 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 10/01/2010

Speedometer quit working properly. May read 90 at a dead stop, may read 30 when traveling at 70, may read 120 at 50. No proper way to judge speed, have been using gps for speed. With speedometer working improperly, other equipment in vehicle is working improperly also (I. E. Computer components, emission components, etc. ).

Failure Date: 09/05/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer 360. The contact stated that there were many failures with his vehicle and the dealer does not want to make any repairs. The vehicle was purchased with 83 miles. Firstly, the bumper is wavy rather than horizontal. He took it to the dealer for repair, however, the new bumper causes the vehicle to veer to the side. Secondly, after the tires were rotated, the vehicle began shaking badly. Thirdly, the onstar system began making noise and would not deactivate. Finally, the rubber seal on the windshield began separating and was replaced. The dealer refuses to take the contact seriously. The engine size was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 17,828.
