2 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 10/26/2018

I have a 2006 chevy Trailblazer with only a little over 80,000 miles on it. I have been having issues with the stabilitrak system. I will get read outs about the stabilitrak needs to be serviced or the stabilitrak has kicked in when it hasn't. The stabilitrak will try to in gauge for no apparent reason when appling the brakes. It happens when I am backing out of my driveway, coming to a stop or just applying the brakes to slow down. It happens on all type of road surfaces. This happens when it is bright and sunny outside, on dry roads, highways, streets, dirt roads and day or night. It does it at fast speeds and very low speeds. It makes a strange noise when this happens however the stabilitrak doesn't fully in gauge. The repair shop looked at it and told me that they think the computer modal is not communicating with the stabilitrak system. This started a few weeks ago. So I'm not sure how this will affect the brakes when driving on the snow and icy roads. I have seen other complaints on the same type of issues.

3 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 05/19/2017

All of the gauges on the control panel do not function (speedometer, temp, gas) when the vehicle is turned on, the gauges may slightly move, but all are inaccurate.

4 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 01/18/2017

Almost all the gauges on my intstrumet cluster have failed. Speedometer 1st, oil pressure gauge next, and now my fuel gauge has failed. Many complaints from chevy owners same issue. No response yet from chevy.

5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 01/09/2017

Instrument cluster is very faulty. At times when it is hot outside the battery and oil pressure gauge won't function properly. The rpm gauge went out at only 36,000 miles. I just went over 70,000 miles recently and now the speedometer will not work. As a matter of fact the only gauge that has always worked properly is the fuel gauge.

6 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 12/10/2016

The instrument cluster panel is not working. The oil gauge does not work, speedometer does not work and rpm does not work.

7 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 12/02/2016

Fuel gauge always shows empty, not working. No way to know how much gas is in the car. Oil gauge not working.

8 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/03/2015

When I make left or right turns the truck shuts off all the gauges read as normal except for the rpm's I loose power stearing and cannot exelerate it does not happen at an spacific time or place it is just random so I do not know when it may do this some days nothing happens other days it happens 2-4 times and it is a bit scarey when you are making a left turn especial I am not sure what this is or what is causing it but this I have had the battery and the alternater checked and other components checked out but they could not find anything and of course while the dealer had it did not do it so I am not sure but this is deffentley something that needs to be looked into like I say when I make turns I lose power , loose my stearing and the ablity to accelerate and all gauges read normal except the rpm's they are the only one that go down to zero.

9 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 06/21/2015

Oil pressure gauge drops to 0 when motor is idled up oil pressure returns to normal. This has been an intermittent problem and does not occur all the time. It has happened over the last 2 to 3 weeks and only when I come to a stop. Truck idles fine and shows no other problems.

10 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 01/15/2015

Speedometer and other dashboard gauges are getting stuck and no longer operating. I am told that the electrical component - instrument cluster is the cause, I have also been told that this is very frequent occurrence with these gm/Chevrolet models.

11 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/14/2014

First the rpm gauge stops working properly, then the temp and oil pressure gauge do the same. After all that you get a check gauges light and a annoying dinging noise that wont go away.

12 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/03/2014

Inaccurate fuel level reading. In November, my fuel gauge and driver information center began to spontaneously read erratically and would not accurately show me how much gas I had. Condition has rapidly progressed to where the fuel gauge almost constantly reads empty, low fuel light is illuminated and fuel level low is displayed in the dic. In researching this issue, I found service bulletin no. 10054b which states it is a premature wearing of the fuel sensor and I should have received a mailed notice from gm regarding this known issue. I have not received any such notice. There are no recalls associated with my VIN and my warranty has now expired so there will not be "vehicle eligibility" for the dealer to confirm through the "applicable warranties section in the global warranty management system. " this issue is bigger than publicly acknowledged by gm and needs to be a full recall, not a 50/50 shared responsibility with the customer when gm acknowledges the issue is due to a faulty part that prematurely wears and causes the malfunction. Also, the entire fuel pump including the sending unit and fuel level sensor needs to be replaced, not just the fuel level sensor.

13 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 10/24/2014

The headlight socket (low beam) on the drivers side melted and nearly caught fire. And the rpm gauge stepper is messing up.

14 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 10/15/2014

First my temp gauge started reading incorrectly. The needle would point way outside the normal range of the gauge, often straight downward. Then my speedometer stopped working. At a full stop it says I'm going between 50 and 65 mph. I've read online that this is apparently a big problem for this model and year (several repairs per week) and yet there's no recall?.

15 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/29/2014

I bought this car at the end of March of this year with under 100,000 miles. The first thing to go was the gas gauge, about 2 months after I bought the trail blazer the needle went south. It actually hovers around 6 0 ' clock. Then a couple nights ago driving home I had the cruise control on, I took it with the hand button and looked down and the needle never moved, it was stuck at 65. It's been 3 days and the needle has moved but the wrong way, to the right going up 75, 80, 90, then back down to 65 and staying there. I have looked into replacing the gas gauge and I was told the entire dash would have to be done at a price of 1200. 00, I should not have to do this, Chevrolet should be held responsible.

16 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 07/23/2014

One day I woke up and got in my car to go to work and before I left I noticed my gauges were messed up. The abs symbol, the parking break symbol, and the low battery lights all were on and my temperature gauge was at zero and still is. The gas gauge is at zero the battery and oil gauges are all placed at zero. I checked all my fuses found a couple bad ones and replaced them and the problem is still not fixed. The car still drives. But I am fearful of a shut down in the middle of the road with it acting like this.

17 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 07/01/2014

The instrument cluster on the 2003 Trailblazer malfunctions, causes the speedometer to stop working and you can't tell how fast your going. The malfunctions also occur with the temperature, oil, and gas gauge. Very dangerous not knowing how fast your going. The vehicle needs to be recalled.

18 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 06/10/2014

When I fill up with gas my gas gauge reads 0. After driving 40 - 80 mi. It slowly comes back, but reads incorrectly for a few miles. By the time its nearing 1/4 to 1/2 tank is seems ok. I really think its only a matter of time before it quits altogether. I don't trust and use my odometer to estimate my gas level.

19 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 06/09/2014

There is a strong odor of gasoline vapors coming from the rear of the vehicle, a crack can be seen in the neck of the fuel tank. When filling the vehicle, fuel spills out of the tank from the crack. The fuel gauge cluster in the dash doesn't work. The blower on the a/c unit doesn't work on the highest (5) level. Also, the fan clutch went out causing the car to overheat severely. The fan does not engage, causing the water pump shaft to become damaged. Also, the rear driver side window quit functioning, despite buying an expensive new regulator and replacing it. Having researched the issues, I find that I am among hundreds, possibly thousands of unsatisfied people with the same problems.

20 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 04/16/2014

On my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer lt my gas gauge shows I have an empty tank of gas at all times even immediately after filling up the tank. This has caused me to run out of gas four times on the highway with no restart. In both of this instances I had to walk on the highway and off an exit to fill up a gas tank and then walk back, one time being at 02:00 am. This is incredibly dangerous considering I could be hit by a car on the highway or stall where a breakdown lane is unavailable and cause an accident. The tank will never read anything else then empty with the gas light on as well.

21 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 04/14/2014

The fuel gauge malfunctions after filling tank - it reads empty immediately and intermittently thereafter at any fuel level. It makes it difficult for traveling any long distance as you are not quite sure how much fuel is available or if it will shut down on me during a difficult situation. We have contacted gm and they want to charge me to check it and this has been reported as a problem for multiple models to gm. This is very scary as I travel long distances to and from work each day - I feel that this puts me in harms way. I don't believe that I should pay to a defective part that gm knows about but doesn't acknowledge.

22 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 02/08/2014

I just purchased this vehicle yesterday from a dealership. They filled the gas tank up before I drove it off the lot because, they said, "the gas gauge isn't working. " I was looking up what it could be and noticed there was a lot of people with complaints of this, 668 people. I suppose I'm the 669th person. There wasn't a recall that I could find, but investigations were being done?.

23 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 02/01/2014

Wiper engages with washer fluid spraying at any time . When first start wipers come on with fluid spraying no intermitent settings wiper stops and starts at all times. Fuel gauge stop working with full tank. Now it does not work. Door lock on driver side not functioning. Locks would start when vehicle sitting in driveway not running. Removed fuse, as it caused battery failure.

24 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 01/15/2014

Speedometer randomly parks on 0 mph no matter what the speed is. The fuel gauge randomly indicates "e" or other inaccurate fuel readings regardless of how much fuel is in the tank. The car randomly stalls when stopped at traffic lights.

25 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/19/2013

Nov. 2013 was the frist time we had a proplem, right after that the oil gauge was not working. On an off we have noticed other type of problem that seem to be electrical. For the last year \year an half my gas is all over the place, always stopping to get gas as not to give out. Also, my gear and mileage gauge does not work. Now have no idea when to change the oil or rotate tires.

26 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/01/2013

When getting into vehicle all my dashboard gauges just stopped work, no speed, gas, oil pressure etc.

27 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 06/25/2013

Summary: cluster gauges are going out. The speedometer quick working and is intermittent at best on a daily basis. It either indicates a lesser or greater speed than actual or just falls to point straight down. I have been using a mounted gps to indicate speed. Initial repair cost estimates were $500+ for the parts since they will only replace the entire gauge cluster. With labor, the estimate was in excess of $800. Oil and battery guages have failed since. Based upon the number similar complaints on this same thing, this appears to be a manufacturing defect that needs to be corrected by gm.

28 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 05/06/2013

We were doing our normal fill-up (truck was off) and after we filled it up & turned it over, the fuel gauge shot way over the 'full' mark. Every time we turned the vehicle on, the fuel gauge was reading differently, I have no idea how many times it was right. The oil pressure and battery charge gauge have also been giving false/sporadic readings as well. After much searching, I found the root cause of this to be a very common problem not only in the Trailblazers but the tahoes and several other of their vehicles (the instrument clusters are faulty). Given the expansive nature of this issue, and the potential dangers of not knowing your speed, fuel level, oil pressure or rpms, I'm having problems seeing why this isn't a recall already. It seems to happen more in the 2003-2006 models more than others from what I've found as well.

29 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 03/04/2013

Instrument front panel no longer operates. All gauges do not operate (speedometer, oil, gas. Temp. . . ).

30 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/19/2012

The fuel gauge on my 2005 Trailblazer has started to register the fuel incorrectly. When the vehicle is filled the gauge drops to empty, and then will vary from there sometimes showing fuel, sometimes not. I am hearing this is a common issue with this vehicle.

31 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/12/2012

The dash component went out, leaving all of the gauges broken, including the speedometer and gas gauge. Also, the fuel sensor is broken so in order to have a working gas gauge, both the dash system and the fuel sensor must be fixed. The doors lock automatically and sometimes won't unlock if they were locked when the car was turned off until the car is turned on again. It takes them 2 weeks to fix the problem!! meanwhile, we have run out of gas, almost causing an accident, and continually have to gauge our speed by the speed of others around us, if we are lucky to be traveling where there are others who hopefully are doing the speed limit. It's going to cost about $1500 to fix it all and have a rental car for the 2 week period it takes them to fix it. It can't be fixed by a non-gm service center because gm has to reprogram the electrical system once it is fixed so it would then have to be towed to a gm dealer anyway and would cost even more. Meanwhile, we and those driving around us are at more risk because of these defects.

32 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/03/2012

My speedometer tells the speed plus or minus 40mph. My oil pressure gauge is stuck at around 210psi. Today, I noticed that my fuel tank now reads 150% full, and the voltage is down to 9v. This is all due to a defective instrument cluster that gm had a class action suit filed on several other makes of vehicles, but denied the Trailblazer, due to lack of complaints. Consider this a complaint. Undoubtedly, gm is hoping the mileage runs over 70,000 so I will have to pay at least part of their defective workmanship. Consider how many Trailblazers are zipping down the road, unaware of this defect. . . Perhaps going only 10-20 mph over the limit. Lack of complaints to the NHTSA is a poor excuse to not recall, fix and/or verify the vehicle in question is not an issue. I am currently using a gps smartphone as a speedometer, but as you can imagine, it is less accurate than ideal. A young friend housesitting my dog drove my car once, on a bad snow day, and got a speeding ticket, as he was unaware that the problem existed. I suggest gm be made to fix it.

33 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 09/20/2012

The heater levels started to go out. First 5, then 1 until it no longer worked at all. I got it repaired but the 5th level does not work any more. The left half of the radio/cd player no longer lights up. My gas gauge would only register a quarter tank and then would eventually dropped to empty. It no longer works at all. Most recently my speedometer will occasionally quit working or register the wrong speed. I have to shut the car off and restart until it works again. Also, my tachometer goes way up when I begin driving and the car seems to rev way up before it changes gears and jerks into gear. I questioned a mechanic about this, thinking it was the transmission, which it isn't. There doesn't seem to be enough power. I have constantly had issues with this Trailblazer every since I purchased it. I also owned a blazer at one time and also had a lot of trouble with it. I should have known better to purchase another chevy, but never again!.

34 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 09/15/2012

My vehicle shows gauge light as empty even after filling up. My vehicle stoped in middle off road on early morning traffic. Now we have to estimate mileage to make sure we are not left without gas, very frustrating and unsafe but can't afford to fix.

35 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 08/01/2012

The speedometer, gas gauge and rmp gauges stopped working shortly after we purchased this vehicle used. I understand that this is an issue that has not be taken care of. Please do something.
