Automatic transmission slips when it tries to shift into 3rd or 4th gear, I read that there was a report on this happening but there was not a recall as far as I know, I recently purchased this vehicle from the original owner who says they never received any paper work from gm about doing repairs. My question is will gm repair this condition at no cost to me?.

The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact took the vehicle to midas for preventive maintenance. The transmission was flushed and the oil was replaced with a life x-tend oil, which caused the transmission to slip and make a loud noise when shifitng into reverse or drive. The dealer stated that the bearing failed. The contact feels that the oil that was placed in the transmission revealed that the transmission had previous failures. A report was filed with the manufacturer. The manufacturer stated that they will investigate the failure. The x-tend oil manufacturer stated that they would pay for the repair if it is proven that the oil was the cause for the transmission failure. The current and failure mileages were 102,000.
Transmission slipping between 3rd and 4th gear. Engine revs in neutral, then transmission would re-engage. Failure would occur everytime vehicle was driven. Repaired by complete transmission rebuild.
I bought a used 2003 Trailblazer. I took it in because it was having issues with the engine light coming on. The engine light no longer comes on but the problem has gotten worse. The transmission slips constantly, I have only had this vehicle for 4 months. I am afraid this is going to happen when I am in the middle of traffic and my children and I will be in serious trouble.

Vehicle has 40,000 miles and transmission going bad already. Codes pulled state that the transmission slipping.
I have had 2 unexplainable transmission failures in this vehicle. The dealership had no information for what caused the problems. The 2nd gear started to slip, causing it to burn out the transmission. The first time it happened, the vehicle has aprox. 5,000 miles on it. Then several thousand miles later, the engine spun a rod bearing. Then at aprox. 14,000 miles, the transmission blew out again. The transmission was rebuilt both times and the engine was rebuilt as well. . . .
While driving my 2002 chevy Trailblazer, I heard a loud chunk in the transmission and then a whining noise and loss of power. There is no reverse and the transmission slips when going through the gears, it finally engages but takes some foot work.

: the contact stated that while driving up a driveway at 10 mph, the transmission slipped, and would not accelerate when the pedal was depressed. The vehicle was not taken in for service.
Transmission slips when accelerating such as merging onto a highway. Has occurred at least 10 times. Has been to dealer 3 times but say they cannot find a problem if check engine light does not come on. Has happened intermittently over a year - vehicle has only 27,000 on it.
Consumer states that the transmission is slipping while the consumer is driving the vehicle. The transmission will also take a few seconds before going into gear. Contacted dealer. Mr.
