Automatic transmission slips when it tries to shift into 3rd or 4th gear, I read that there was a report on this happening but there was not a recall as far as I know, I recently purchased this vehicle from the original owner who says they never received any paper work from gm about doing repairs. My question is will gm repair this condition at no cost to me?.

The transmission slips constantly, I have only had this vehicle for 4 months. I am afraid this is going to happen when I am in the middle of traffic and my children and I will be in serious trouble.

The 2nd gear started to slip, causing it to burn out the transmission. The first time it happened, the vehicle has aprox. 5,000 miles on it. Then several thousand miles later, the engine spun a rod bearing. Then at aprox. 14,000 miles, the transmission blew out again. The transmission was rebuilt both times and the engine was rebuilt as well. . . .
