Underhood Wiring Problems of Chevrolet Trailblazer

In June 2010 the overhead dvd player quit working and the bose in-dash stereo systems began to intermittently work and not work. In may 2012 the windshield wipers would sometimes not turn on and at times in operation would stop operating mid way. At the same time, the bright lights sometimes would not come on. Moving the steering column up and down would allow the brights to operate, but in most cases they don't work at all. The heat & a/c fan motor only works on high speed as well leaving the other speeds inoperative. It seems there may be an electrical issue in the steering column and I'm not sure if the stereo and dvd player would be somehow connected with that portion of the wiring harness. I contacted Chevrolet and they say there are no open recalls for our VIN number.

I have many electrical issues with my 04 Trailblazer from my window lights on the drivers door and the passenger door. I have had my radio replaced because it melted one of my cds. My head lights work when they feel like it same with the rear wiper. It has stalled out in traffic on me. I have also heard that in most 2000 to 2006 Trailblazers the reason for the electrical problems is because water is running down the passenger side door into the dash and hitting one of the main wiring harnesses causing it to have many electrical issues. I heard this from someone who has an 06 Trailblazer that just had it a replaced for $700. 00 to fix and was told that it will just have to be replaced in a few more years because they cant fix the problem.

I parked and turned off my car and it burst into flames. I had absolutely no warning, no warning light came on and I had no problems with the car at all until the fire.

Steering wheel shakes violently, it has been in dealer for over 30 days. Have tried many things to repair, nothing has worked. It only does it some of the time so it is hard to diagnose. . . I do not want a car that is not safe for me and my kids!! please help us! manufacturer does not seem to care! date Feb 11, 2006 was first date in to dealer for repair. . . . Has been in 3 times! to date they have fixed or repaired the: tires, rotors, calipers, master cylinder, brake booster, (and I am sure some others that I can't think of right now) thank you for your time! the kuhr family.

The first time I had problems was about a month ago when the check engine light came on. I brought the vehicle in to lynch service department and it was taken cared of that same day. On 10/25/2002 my car completely shut down and it would not start for me at all. I had my vehicle towed to gillespie chevy dealer service department and as of today 10/29/2002 my vehicle is still there . I was told that it is an electrical problem but that was all I was told. Now I'm just sitting and waiting. Dt.

While driving heard popping noise and notice undercariage caught on fire, and within minutes car exploded . Dealer was notified. Resulted in an accident.

2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer electrical fire in the fuse box under the hood and has been replaced. Lower ball joints had to be replaced because they wore out the tires.
