2 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 03/22/2004

We've noticed a vibrating sound after 2-5 minutes from starting our '03 blazer from cold start. It tends to increase after we've driven it for a while. I've noticed while I'm waiting to pick my wife up that this irritating sound and vibration intensifies. Whatever it is, it's not normal. Fter taking the vehicle to our dealer and providing them with the below NHTSA bulletin, we hoped to get our vehilcle fixed. Nhtsa 282674 bulletin 061903 bulletin date: June 2003 unusual vibration felt at idle or at very low rpm during parking lot manuevers. Also residence noise accompanying the vibration. Gms engineering dept at the dealer returned our t-blazer informing us that it is normal. I don't believe they did a thorough job in locating & fixing the problem. The engineering dept recommended the service dept test an '04 Trailblazer. Their response was that it was normal like the '03. Before picking up my vehicle, I tested the warmed up '04 t-blazer & didn't hear the same sound I hear in my vehicle. I don't understand how this vibrating sound can be normal when the following gm service website link . . . Read more...

3 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 01/18/2004

Car has a vibration when the speed is held constant. Been to the dealer twice, they found that all for tires were out of balance. Problem still there, gave one tech ride because they could not replicate, he said it was unusal but he was front end guy, second tech and service manager said it was normal, not sure if they were able to replicate. Was told to bring it back when problem got worse or broke.

4 Vehicle Shudder problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 11/28/2002

I was driving on interstate 80 in 2 wheel drive low at 65mph. The vehicle began to vibrate and I looked at the 4 wheel drive selector switch and the light was flashing for all wheel drive. This should only happen when the switch is turned to that position. Then the rpms on the vehicle red lined and the light went to solid green on 4 wheel drive low. At that point the vehicle went into a 360 degree spin on the interstate. Luckily I did not hit anything or anyone. The vehicle came to rest in a ditch. I was able to drive the vehicle off the interstate and when doing so the selector switch was shifting between all the options from 4 wheel drive to all wheel drive. I stopped the vehicle and let the vehicle run while I waited for a tow truck. While the vehicle was in park the lights started flashing and the vehicle was shifting in park. Each time the vehicle shifted the vehicle would lunge forward 2 to 3 feet. My family was in the vehicle at the time and are afraid to be in this vehicle. The dealership says the computer is showing no malfunction codes. They have driven the vehicle and the problem has not happened to them. This vehicle is unsafe. Dt.
