Air Bag Light On problems of the 2015 Chrysler 200 - part 2

The airbag indicator is constantly turning on and off saying that the airbags needs to be serviced.

I have a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving my car will just stall in the middle of traffic and not move, air bag light continues to come on repeatedly. I've had this issue looked at twice by the dealership. They charge me and swear it's fixed. This is the third time this has occurred and I get no one with the dealership. The situation is horrifying and unsafe. I decide to place a review seeing I'm getting nowhere with my local dealership. I just need the issue resolved.

My airbag light stays on permanently. It used to come on intermittently. I have had the problem fixed twice by a Chrysler repair facility. I was told not to worry it's just a wiring harness problem. I'm scared because I've seen airbag recalls and I don't know why my car hasn't been recalled yet. My car also seems to be jerking more frequently. It jerks sometimes when I'm accelerating. I was told this was normal because of the type of engine. I inquired about this not long after I bought the car in 2015. The jerking seems to be getting worse. My check engine light stays on. I can provide info that my airbag sensor problem was fixed twice.

My airbag light comes on and off, most of the time it stays on though. Also, the car will die after driving and will stall while driving. It also appears that there are some sort of electrical issues with the car and the gears shift strange, sometimes throwing me forward while driving.

Upon starting car' airbag light may or may not be on. Light turns on and off without warning and has been ongoing. Seems to be rough idle' when I place the car in gear it jerks. During normal driving the car stalls causing a safety concern for rear end impact while airbag light may be on that may cause injury or death. This matter should be investigated and corrective measures taken. After reading testimonials about other 2015 Chrysler 200 owners' there obviously is a pattern with safety concerns.

Air bag light fails to turn off even after its been serviced . Middle console and screen constantly getting stuck/ frozen while driving. . Also it accelerates by itself sometimes!.

Occupant classification module in the passenger seat fails unexpectedly causing airbag light on and shut down of the entire vehicle airbag system. Similar to the s09/NHTSA 16v-114, but vehicle was not part of that recall campaign.

The air bag service light continues to to come on and the air bag light stays on.

I was driving at night an hit a curb and the airbag light came on and will not go back off. The car only has 43965 miles on the car as I do not drive it alot. They said it is not a factory issue, yet I see alot of people complaining of the airbag issue on this model car. I am very dissatisfied with this Chrysler and will not buy another.

I was sitting in my car and notice the airbag light appeared and I knew I had just got it fixed at a Chrysler dealership that charge me $183 for diagnostics when they seen it itself. Also it keeps going on and off couple of days later my car would not start. It was not the battery because the lights were on there was no start for the click I waited about 20 minutes and it started something are wrong with these Chrysler cars it is imperative why a car should not start or airbag light keep coming on once they are fixed I will never bye a Chrysler again this is harmful to me and my children something needs to be done.

My airbag light will come on and then go off. It has been doing this for about a year.

Takata recall my airbag light keeps coming on after I already took it back to get it fixed at the dealership. My engine won't turn on when it is hot outside, the car takes a long time to excelerate on the city street and highway.

A few months after purchase,airbag light and message states service airbag. Took it in for servicing, stated sensor was bad and they would have to order sensor. ($100w/warranty). The airbag light has not come on for months. Latelt it's been coming on pretty regular. I suspect a wiring issue as well. When vehicle is parked for awhile the light goes out like it should, only to come back on when it wants to.

The car keeps stalling whenever I try to turn the car on. I've checked the battery the alternator and starter and they were all good. Also the airbag light indicator keeps turning on and off and the check engine light spontaneously turns on and turns off . Also when going down hill with foot on break the rpm accelerators, also one headlight keeps going out but turns back on.

Air bag light came on for no reason. . Vehicle has not been in accident to cause this. .

My service airbag light kept coming on so I took it to Chrysler where I was told a wire had had probably become disconnected. They said all I had to do was make sure the ends were connected. It stopped for a while. Then a couple months later the service airbag light kept coming on again. I figured it was the plug and didn't pay much attention since I was told not to worry about it. Until my airbags exploded in my face one day as I was leaving work. I slowed down and was hit in the face, chest and legs by the airbags. I then hit the back of another vehicle. The front airbags went off on both sides of the car, the drivers side door airbag went off as did the back drivers side airbag. . I was the only person in the vehicle at the time. From everything I have read the other airbags shouldn't have deployed. The cops didn't seem to believe the airbags went off on their own but I wasn't given a ticket. I know they went off before the wreck. I think this should be looked at.

My vehicle constantly turns off and abruptly stop while driving, while coming to a stop and/or while up in speed. When it turns off stated select desired gear, all lights come on. Transmission, enigine, red z, battery light, and won't start immediately. Airbag light has been on since I purchased car. Won't go away. Car beeps when turning.

Air bag light turns on randomly when I drive. More if someone or something is in the passenger seat. My radio also doesn't connect to usb for my phone nor connect to bluetooth at times. When I turn the car on 1/10 times the screen doesn't turn on.

I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 that has been having some issue with the dash lights flickering and now the lights are going completely out. I thought the instrument panel was the only feature affected until today on my way to work the headlights completely went out as well creating a very bad situation on the highway. I was unable to see while driving down the road for a brief period of time. I just check it for recalls but did not find my vehicle however there are other earlier models that appear to be having a similar issue that were covered by recall is there any way that a recall may be arriving on this vehicle? I have also noticed that the service air bag light came on shortly before all of this started as well as a code was tripped for faulty coolant sensor as well. All maintenance and upkeep has been done on this vehicle including tires pressure sensor replaced and routine oil change as well.

Upon inspection the contact found the vehicle would independently shift into park. The air bag warning indicator illuminated. The air bag warning indicator warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jacksonville Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram located 9600 atlantic blvd, jacksonville, FL the air bag harness was defective and the muti-air valve was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was currently in the process of being repaired. The contact stated that they previously had to repair oil sensor and pdc at various other dealers due to vehicle stalling however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000. Kh.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at any speed, the air bag light came on. The contact also stated that the vehicle jerked, made loud noises and accelerated at any attempt to speed up without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated when making a turn. The vehicle was taken to the thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram dealer (219-924-6100, located at 9604 indianapolis blvd, highland, in 46322) where the technician diagnosed that the air bag and the steering wheel control module needed to be repaired. The contact was sent back to the independent mechanic that sold the vehicle to the contact. The independent mechanic told the contact that the vehicle was sold as it was and referred the contact to a muffler shop to repair the air bag and the steering wheel. The contact stated that the air bag and the steering were repaired but the contact was not told what was done to repair the failures. The failure recurred a month later. The contact called the dealer back and was told to go back to the seller. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. Fe.

My car has stalled while driving, while almost immediately losing ability to steer the car. I repeatedly would have to put the car in park and try to restart the car in order to get the car home. As well as having a airbag light that comes on when every I over bumpy roads.

The vehicle was taken to dave sinclair Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (2326 w osage st, pacific, mo 63069) where it was diagnosed that the jumper harness failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was out of warranty and filed case number: 33619644. The failure mileage was 43,000.

Air bag light comes on and off.

I purchased this vehicle used at 61708. I'll say a week into me driving it off the lot the airbag light will occasionally pop on. I thought because one day I forgot to put my gas cap on but even after it will randomly pop up. I got services done to my vehicle 02/07/18. It is now the 13th of February and airbag warning has popped up.

Takata recall my passenger air bag light keeps coming on. No one is not in the seat. I have to put things in my seat in order for the light to not come on.

My airbag light has came on after having my oil changed and it won't go off 5/6/2017. Then yesterday 11/6/2017 my car would not start because my battery was dead but I just purchased the car used in March and the battery should be dead after 2 years. My check engine light ended up coming on after having aaa jump start my vehicle and I'm just having issues that I shouldn't be experiencing and I'd think my airbag should still be covered under warranty.

The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v114000 (air bags). The vehicle has not yet been diagnosed by a dealer. Car purchased 10/21/2016, 3 months later problems began. 01/16/2016 service air bag light came on and will not go off. Dealer said it is not covered under my extended warranty, for what reason I still don't know. Taken the car to 3 different shops to work on it and I keep being told it is a passenger seat connector, yet I have had this done 3 times now. . . $500 out of pocket each time, the light is still on as of 11/10/2017. Now the car also has a service engine light on constantly along with this airbag light. As well as of 10/25/2017 my car has began to tell me the engine is running hot while I'm driving, but the thermostat display inside never even gets to half. . So not sure about this now. As well as also telling me to service the electronic throttle control as soon as the overheat sensor goes off. Lastly I was at the gas station the other day and the car wouldn't start, it said the keyfob not detected but it was in my hand! had to google what to do. . (which is put nose of keyfob to button and press it that way if happens to anybody else) soo that would be a total of 4 different lights on at this time of 11/10/2017. Enterprise has yet to help me or get back to me on any of these issues. It was a rental car before I bought it from them, obviously they sold me a lemon! as I was getting an oil change on 11/01/17 I had them run codes and it and it read I needed a new thermostat to take care of the engine overheating and the etc light. . . Needless to say this has been a car from hell. I have filed complaints to enterprise about this car repeatedly especially with it all happening so soon after getting the car. I'm stuck with it now so I would love for somebody to know what there doing and actually fix this car!!!.

Airbag light turns on and off while driving any speed. It's happened on the street at 25 mph and on highway going 65mph. Makes no difference . Sometimes stays on for long sometimes takes off right away . Called my dealer but said there's no recall for my VIN.

The service air bag light will come on every so often.
