2 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/12/2023

Son was driving car and pulled out of gas station and heard a loud "bang" from under the hood and the car immediately died and he had to coast into a safe spot off of the street. Check engine light came on and message "service transmission". Will not move forward now and whirring noise when placed into drive. Towed to transmission shop that said there were several transmission codes (tcm monitor processing and tcm failure undetected). The car has 59000 miles on it and the transmission needs replacing. Similar to other complaints seen on here for the 2015 Chrysler 200.

3 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2023

On 5/8 a conversation took place with a Chrysler customer service representative which was recorded. The representative acknowledged that the tcm going out is common due to the transaxle control harness recall. The representative acknowledged this has not become a recall yet but this is a known problem and issue with the vehicles.

4 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 09/19/2022

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the check engine, abs, traction control, and air bag warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the oil pressure sensor and housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact stated that while reversing into the parking lot, she heard a rattling noise under the hood of the vehicle. The contact also stated that while driving over any small bumps in the roadway, the engine felt like as if it would fall out of the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the shock and strut assembly, suspension strut, transmission, and motor mounts needed to be replaced. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed of a manufacturer recall: w84 (power train software update). The failure mileage was 93,662.

5 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/14/2021

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle would jerk and would appear to start to stall. The contact would often have to pull over to restart the vehicle and regain proper function. The failure occurred approximately 7-8 times total. There was a notification that the key fob was not detected when in use. The contact stated that after being in an idle position then accelerating the vehicle lags acceleration. Right, when the vehicle reaches the desired speed then it would start to jerk. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who replaced the key fob battery, updated software on the pcm and tcm however the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,779.

6 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2021

Imy car will not shift out of the first gear just out of no where while driving down the highway, had to have it towed and shop is saying transmission control module is bad and I see many reviews that this happens with this car around 90000 the shop is also say they see this problem a lot I don't understand why there is not a recall.

7 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2020

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle jerked, vibrated and stalled. The vehicle was taken to fitzgerald Chrysler Jeep located at 22231 three notch rd, lexington park, MD 20653, where the transmission control module was reprogrammed. The vehicle later failed to immediately start with the message wait to warm was displayed. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer who diagnosed that the engine was faulty and needed to be replaced due to faulty engine cylinders. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000.

8 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 09/14/2020

I have experienced harsh and erratic shifting in low speeds and gears since the very beginning. I was told in the test drive it was the new generation transmission learning my driving style. After taking it back to the dealer a few weeks later, they said the same thing, that it was a "left foot shift" (whatever that is) and still learning how I drive but they went ahead and did a tcm and pcm update. This did not help. It have also experienced odd shifting problems when in sport mode using the paddle shifters. When you are in 3rd and go to upshift into 4th, it down shifts into 2nd! several times this has happened on curvery roads where a downshift at that speed could throw you off. Fast forward a year later all the while it is still shifting hard and having issues with the paddle shift mode, I am now getting a "service parking brake" and "service transmission" code in the dash in addition to the engine light popping up and the car not going into gear via the electronic shift knob. This issue has left me stranded from times ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour. While a case is still ongoing with Chrysler, I have some other information to be noted. This car was a part of the recall r08 (transaxle park rod), r24 (power distribution center electrical connector), and s55 (transaxle range sensor wire harness), which were all repaired. I am now a year out of powertrain warranty with this 2015 Chrysler 200s that has 96,500 miles on it. However, I have paperwork (which can be provided) that I tried to have this car fixed before the powertrain was up but instead I was sent on my way. After taking it to the dealer for diagnosis, it has been identified that it has a "clutch pack failure" which would require an entirely new transmission. Interestingly, once you get it into gear, it drives just fine. But whose to say it won't just quit in the middle of the highway causing an accident? ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.

9 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 06/08/2020

I took my car into the dealership and they reprogrammed my transmission control module and after I paid I noticed that it was a part of a recall.

10 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/03/2019

The transmission drive trans is making a clunking noise every time you would stop I took it in and they updated the pcm and transmission control module it shifted better but the clinking noise is still there. The e break automatically comes on frequently when you put it in reverse out of nowhere. The clinking noise happens more when you're in the city and on the highway end it feels like the abs comes on as well but not for sure.

11 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 06/30/2019

Tl- the contact stated that his daughter owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at low speed, the vehicle shut off. The steering and the brakes locked up. The check engine light illuminated. The failure recurred several times. The contact stated that failure recurred when he drove the vehicle by himself. The vehicle was pulled to the side and restarted. The vehicle was repeatedly taken to the vann Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram dealer, located 899 s delsea dr, vineland, NJ 08360 where an update was finally done on the pcm. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The manufacturer stated that an oil consumption test needed to be done. The contact stated that that was done a while back and because there was no record of it, the manufacturer wanted it redone. The contact referenced an unknown TSB in reference to the wiring harness. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000. The VIN was not provided. Fe.

12 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/10/2019

Trouble began in may 2019. 'service transmission' comes up on display, check engine light illuminates, and the car does not shift correctly. It gets stuck into a higher gear, making it difficult to drive from a complete stop. Sometimes turning the car off/on will clear the message and shift properly (albeit the check engine light is still on), and sometimes it takes a few hours before it will go away. Eventually both the message and the check engine light will go away but eventually (sometimes minutes, hours, or after a few days) the trouble will persist. I took it into a Chrysler dealership on 6/15/19 and they said the battery failed 2 of 3 times and replaced the battery and reprogrammed the tcm. Total cost $312. This fix lasted three days. Scheduled another appt at i10 Dodge in indio, CA. For 8am. The message and cel will occur randomly. Sometimes after immediately turning the car on, but most often while driving normally on city streets or the freeway. It doesn't matter whether I'm in drive mode or sport mode. The fact that the gears do not shift properly and get 'stuck' into a higher gear can be unsafe.

13 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/02/2018

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200c. The contact stated that while coming to a stop the vehicle stalled. The engine warning light illuminated. This failure happened intermittently. All star Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram 11503 st charles rock rd, bridgeton, mo 63044 (314) 291-2050 diagnosed and repaired the pcm. The manufacturer were made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000. Nd.

14 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2018

Car was purchased used 8/1/17 for my daughter going to college. Car would not start on weekend test drive, they replaced the battery. I did get dealer to fix 3 open recalls. Sept 2017 my daughter was driving at college and car broke down while at a light, would not start. . Got towed to dealer and it started. The dealer found an open code to replace fuse panel and completed fix. Dec 23 2017, car died while driving, however started 5 minutes later. Jan 2018, car would not start - jumped and it started. 1 hour later would not start or respond to jump. Towed back to dealer and next day when they got to it started right up. Feb 6 2018, car died while daughter driving it at 35-40 mph, she managed to get to the shoulder. After 10 minutes the car started and she took it to the dealer. They found a code to replace the pcm. Feb 18 2018 the car would not start. This car has had several recalls and now I will not let my daughter drive this car as her campus is 2. 5 hours away and in the mountains - could not imagine what would happen if she was driving over the mountains and the car died. It is sitting in my driveway as I try to work with the dealer to buy back this car. Chrysler should be ashamed, this is obviously a known issue yet they can't fix it and are putting peoples lives at risk. I do not have the ability to attach service records at this time but I do have them.

15 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2017

Car stalling out while driving. Stalled 4 times 12/10/17 then was driving rough, as I was going down the street the red lighting bolt came on along with the check engine light, parking light, traction control light. Went to the gas station to put gas in, started car and the car would not go into drive. It took around 8-10 minutes to get the car to go into drive. There was all kinds of warnings going across the screen saying electrical malfunction service immediately and transmission malfunction service immediately. So I take the car in and the tcm is needing replaced and the engine may need replaced. This is not ok for a 2015 car to have this many problems.

16 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 02/24/2017

While driving on a major highway at about 58mph, in the state of maryland (I was traveling on icc 200w from laurel to i95) on 2/24/2017 my car - without warning came to a complete stop and shut off. The car sputtered and the check engine light came on. The car presented a message "service transmission" "service park brake" while the "drive" function blinked profusely. I was able to maneuver the car to the shoulder and await a tow to a nearby dealership. The dealership where my car is currently located is stating that a battery wire was loose which caused the car to stop, however my car maintained power the entire three hours I waited for the tow. Also as a precaution, I took pictures of the dash before being towed and both the battery power and oil were fine. I recently had my pcm and tcm reprogrammed due to a faulty dtc code (12/2016) at koons Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram in tyson's corner, va. This was supposed to fix the issue however it clearly didn't. If I was traveling during rush hour or on another highway, I could have been hit and/or severely injured as the car stopped without warning. My car is currently being serviced at fred fredrick's Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram in laurel, MD.

17 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2016

My car has been "jerking" since I bought & was repeatedly told by cjd arlington in hat it was the 9 speed tranny & the car has to relearn my driving. 12/28 my car lost power and went into neutral. It had to be towed in. They called the next day and told me the car didn't store any error messages and was safe to pick up. I refused and asked them to test the car more because there obviously had to be an issue since the car cut off & went into neutral as I was braking at a light. I had the car towed to a different cjd in town & they called the next day stating I needed a new engine and possibly a new tranny. They only replaced the engine & the tcm valve. I got the car back(1/6/17) and the next morning I pulled out on a street and the car jerked so hard. It left my neck in pain for the remainder of the day. I contacted Chrysler customer care to file a complaint. I was told to take the car back to see if they could fix the issue before a resolution is determined. I was told I needed a new tranny this time. The car is still jerking, hesitating/lagging at time, and very scary to drive. I took the car in last week 2/9 with complaints and they gave it right back a few hours later saying they didn't see anything wrong. I showed a video of the car running and sounding like a lawn mover. They said the noise wasn't normal but since it wasn't showing any error messages or making the noise there they couldn't keep it. Ive been trying to reach my case manager(bridgett)with fca & she won't return my phone calls as usual. She offered a trade in assistance program but it had to be another cjd vehicle & 2017 which I can't afford & don't want another vehicle from them. Im tired of driving around in fear that my car will lose power again or cause me to get hit. Im upside down & nobody seems to care about I have 8 service invoices about this issue. The first was 5/25. I purchased the car 3/19.

18 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2016

2015 Chrysler 200s 3. 6l sport sedan's transmission (mil) check engine light on. Loss of motive power. (dtc) reads transmission shut on parked, leaves gear on parked. Unable to shift or move forward and/or back out to drive. (mil) stays on. This is a reoccurring situation. Pcm software has been reflashed and updated several times in the last year and checked for wire harness circuits resistance but to no avail, (obd) reads motive power loss, (mil) appear every now and then. This just happened twice again while parked, twice while in motion on a city street.

19 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2016

My concern is the corrective action taken by fca regarding safety recall s55/NHTSA 16v-529. This recall identified a loss of motive power that could occur due to a faulty transaxle wire harness, possibly resulting in a crash. Solution was to replace the wire harness when parts became available. After a two month wait, fca changed the suggested repair from replacing the wire harness to re-programming the pcm and tcm. This re-programming, prevents the transmission from shifting to neutral, causing a loss of motive power, but will now place the vehicle in "limp mode". Dealer service managers could not provide an accurate description of that process. We know it will cause the transmission to downshift, either to third or maybe second gear, not sure which, and a reduction of maximum speed to 30 mph or less, again not sure what it will be. The root cause, the transaxle wire harness will not be replaced until the vehicle experiences this problem. So, I am left with the original problem which could fail at any time. Whether the vehicle loses all motive power, or abruptly downshifts to a lower gear with a loss of acceleration while traveling at highway speeds could still produce a very unsafe condition if a person reacts incorrectly. Are these corrective actions, which are not those identified in the original recall, approved by the NHTSA, or can the manufacturer change them at will? I have had this vehicle for sixteen months. Five of those the vehicle remained parked in the garage due to two recalls. I do not agree with the corrective action taken.

20 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2016

2015 Chrysler 200. Consumer writes in regards to remedy not available to repair transaxle wire harness/transmission control module recall notice.

21 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2016

Enterprise auto sales sold me this Chrysler 200 with an open warranty on it, which I discovered later on. From the time I drove it home, there have been issues with the transmission behaving erratically, surging or racing idle and lurching from a stopped and/or slow mph. It has also behaved as though its suddenly in idle only one to jump back into gear. It's been to the dealer for the tcm recall and that hasn't remedied the problem. Then a new safety recall was released and there is no date on when the most recent issues will be fixed. I saw that my vehicle was potentially listed under the consent agreement's buy-back option for owners. When I spoke with customer service, I was told there was no such thing as a buy-back program and my vehicle was not within the consent agreement. I requested another department and was told there was no other department. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was flatly denied by the customer service representative who had a speech impediment. I haven't ever dealt with a csr that hostile. I'm surprised she works with customers. I've only had this vehicle for about 4 months and it's been a nightmare. Definitely buyers remorse here. I do not feel safe in this car at all. Chrysler has had more than a reasonable amount of time to either repair or refund this vehicle. I believe they should repurchase it from me so I can invest in something else. And as a side note: I have managed to track down all of he work orders completed on this car except for the first safety recall, and according to Chrysler's records, it was repaired by a rental company who is now defund. Very shady.

22 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 04/19/2016

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving 60 mph, the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the power distribution center connectors needed to be replaced, and the tcm and pcm needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 15v470000 (electrical system); however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.

23 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 04/12/2016

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving between 20-40 mph, the vehicle shifted erratically and was difficult to shift between first and second gear. The vehicle was taken to landmark auto outlet (2350 prairie crossing dr, springfield, IL 62711, (217) 793-6050) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The mechanic provided a software update to the tcm. The contact stated that the failure recurred and the vehicle was presently at the dealer for additional diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 509.

24 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2015

I had a safety recall on my 200, take it to the dealership on Nov 18th, 2015. They reprogram module, powertrain control (pcm). Right after that my transmission started to act all crazy, not shifting right or down shifting. I called the dealership again, got it back on December 2nd, 2015. They said they re did the transmission and they have advised me to drive it like that for two weeks to relearn drivind and to bring it back if it doesn't improve. The car is acting even worse, the tachometer seems like it is not coordinated with the speed, the transmission seems like not releasing when I brake. I feel unsafe driving it, this is not the car I bought a year ago. I drive at least 50 miles per day in a car that doesn't give me a good feeling about it.

25 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2015

My engine turned off while driving. I was on a one lane ramp, going about 25 or 30 miles per hour around a bend. The transmission was in drive, not park or neutral. I could not restart my engine. Additional safety features such as forward collision warning, lane sense, and park sense were disabled. I was blocking traffic - the only way to get around me was to go up onto the sidewalk, which is not safe. People behind me tried to help by pushing the car, but could not. I had to call the police to send incident response to push me out of the way. The incident response truck also could not push me out of the way, but after rocking my car several times in an attempt to push the car, the engine would start. The check engine light came on and the screen showed a message saying to service transmisison. I drove to a parking lot and called a tow truck to take me to a dealership. I have found many cases of this happening to other 2015 Chrysler 200 owners, and I think there needs to be an investigation and possibly a recall. The dealership cannot tell me what caused the issue, only that their service manual says reflashing the transmission control module should solve the problem. Chrysler coporate also cannot tell me what caused the issue. Several testimonies online say that their car was not fixed by reflashing the tcm. Having your new car die on the road while driving with absolutely no warning is an unacceptable, possibly fatal risk. I only hope if this happens again, I won't be in an intersection or in front of a semi-truck on the highway.

26 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 09/23/2015

Car was running beautifully on September 22nd. It was parked in the garage overnight. When I started it the morning of the 23rd, the check engine light flashed and the car was idling very roughly. I drove slowly to the dealer, doug smith Chrysler in american fork, ut. They diagnosed the problem as being a cart and horse concern: apparently the coil on the #6 cylinder had failed and also the coil driver in the pcm had also failed. They don't know which occurred first and then likely caused the other problem. My concern is that the car was nearly undriveable as it was; what if the pcm had suffered a cascading damage of some sort? especially, what if this had happened while I was traveling 70mph on the freeway? I just think that a component of such importance as the pcm should not fail after only 11000 miles. I now have concerns about the replacement: will it be brand new or rebuilt? if rebuilt, how reliable will that end up being? I also feel that a spark plug coil should be more robust than to fail at only 11000 miles. I believe this failure could represent a severe danger to myself and possibly to others if it happened while the car was being driven.

27 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 08/23/2015

Engine light had came on again as I was driving to the store when it hesitated slightly, several times its been in for "fuel issues" which started back in oct 14', but this time it needed and tcm update. After this was done it came back with a code reading it needed a new transmission. I'm glad mine was just starting the jerking over the last few weeks, even though now that I think about it, it may have been far longer then that but only occasionally, in reverse and when getting up to speed. This car has too many issues and is a safety issue to drive because at any moment your transmission can drop on it. For a new car this is too much and someone is going to lose their life driving this car if it cuts out at the wrong time.

28 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2015

I was traveling on highway 17 and attempting to traverse an overpass at 66mph, when suddenly my check engine light came on and the car began to lurch and decelerate. I put on my hazards and was attempting to apply brakes and navigate to the shoulder when I lost my ability to steer the vehicle and the service transmission alarm began going off. I pressed the brakes until the car came to a complete stop (thankfully was not rear-ended) and turned the car off and back on. Luckily the car restarted, however after traveling less than 500ft the problem occurred again. This time I was able to pull into a parking lot and call my husband. I turned the car off and waited a few minutes before restarting, however the car only stayed on for about 45 seconds before it died and would not restart. I contacted Chrysler roadside assistance after providing my location, the customer service rep asked me the following question point blank "were you driving down the road and your car stalled?" to which I replied that it was curious she asked me that as it was exactly what happened. I asked her if it was a known issue and she said no she was just required to ask the question. The car was towed to the dealership and the following codes were noted: p2302, p2305, p2308, p2311. Intermittent aod and b feed circuits f3 3. The dealership flashed the pcm, inspected, repaired the pdc connector c4 terminal pushouts on pins 15 & 18. But after reading the numerous complaints here, I was not convinced that the issue was resolved. I contacted my friend and sales person who's father owned the dealership, and they assisted us with a vehicle trade as having your car die and lose steering at 66mph is a huge safety issue. I am amazed at the number of complaints on this site which has failed to raise alarm for both Chrysler and NHTSA. . . . I guess someone has to die first due to this issue. . .

29 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/24/2015

On 7/19/15 I was driving my newly purchased Chrysler 200s with approximately 10300 miles. While approaching a stop light at 10mph, the car lost all power and coasted to a stop with a "service transmission" message flashing on the screen. I was not able to shift the car out of drive, and the gear selection was blinking in drive. I had to shut the car off and was stranded in the middle of a busy road for 15 minutes. I restarted the car and was able to drive it to the dealership. They replaced the tcm module and re-flashed the software. On 7/22/15 I returned to the dealership to pickup my car. While the service technician was pulling the car around, the car's transmission failed and was stuck in reverse this time, unable to shift out of reverse. They reprogrammed the valve body and performed a re-learn. I picked the car up 7/23/15 and was assured everything was fixed. While driving home from work on 7/24/15 on the interstate (75mph), the cars transmission again failed, leaving me with no throttle power on the interstate, nearly causing a collision with a semi truck. The same error messages as the first incident were flashing on the car's screen. I coasted the car to the site of the interstate and shut it off completely. After 15 minutes I restarted the car and drove it to the dealership. I am very concerned this car is going to get myself or someone else seriously injured.

30 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/09/2015

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving at 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the tcm and the pcm modules were reprogrammed; however, the failure recurred. The manufactured was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,526.

31 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/02/2015

Vehicle shut off while driving approx. 40 mph. Vehicle started blinking put car in park, service transmission, service park break. Then, it shut off on its own. All gears locked up and car would not restart. I was a sitting duck in the roadway. This has happened x2, July 2nd, 2015 and August 10th, 2015. Had it towed both times. First time Chrysler dealer stated they replaced tcm. This second time they are stating the car is reading multiple codes and they don't know what to fix.

32 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2015

I was merging onto the highway and my dashboard started blinking telling me I had to park the car. Once I parked it I could not get it to start again and had it towed to Chrysler. They said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and reset the pcm to get it to start again.

33 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2015

My girlfriend was driving car with our 2 daughters in the back seat at approximately 60 mph during morning traffic on interstate 64 in st. Louis at around 8 a. M. . She was in the middle lane and the car started beeping, service transmission light appeared and started to lose the ability to accelerate or power vehicle. Engine was still running, but basically brought her to a stop in the center lane of traffic. Cars shifter knob was locked in gear, but would not go anywhere. Tried turning car off and back on, but would not go into a moving gear to get out of the middle of the interstate. A couple of motorists tried to assist, but car would not go anywhere. After about 20 minutes when police finally arrived, the car would go into gear and was able to get to shoulder. Dealership had car for 2 weeks. 3 days before even looking at the vehicle and another week waiting on a part. Replaced shifter and transmission control module. Said car was fixed. Car did same thing on 7/3/15, now with a little over 18,000 miles, this time in a residential area about 3 blocks from home. Same beeping sound and service transmission message. Only difference is after turning vehicle off and restarting the car, she was able to get in gear and make it home. After about an hour, I went and looked at the car and drove around the block. Check engine light was still on. Car was very jumpy shifting into both r and d. When returning and putting back into p, made a mechanical sound like a timer being turned. When driver showed up to tow away, check engine light was off, but made same sound when he put parking brake on and off. This is a very serious safety issue and hope is handled before someone dies because their car loses power on a 2 lane road and gets rear ended by an 18 wheeler coming over a hill or around a corner and can't stop in time. I want this car to be bought back by fca.

34 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2015

Purchased card in July 2014. First occurrence, 5 April; 2nd occurrence, 1 may; 3rd occurrence, 15 may. While slowing down (approx. 45mph) transmission shifts from drive to neutral. Had to move to slower lane, stop, shift to park and then to drive. The last time it happened 3 times in 2 hours, hazardous road warning light appeared. Dealer has changed transmission control module, tested "pin connectivity", contacted Chrysler corp, car still in the shop. Each time the dealer test drove it, they experienced the same conditions. Not sure of next step.

35 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

Vehicle lost acceleration while driving at approx. 45 mph (car was in drive). Car would not respond to throttle input, even though car was running. Had to coast to a stop, where I attempted to shift the car into park, neutral & the rotary dial would not move. Left car running with foot on brake for several minutes, when the car seemed to return to normal, as I was able to turn rotary dial into park & then back into drive. This is the second occurrence of this happening. Previous incident took place about 30 days prior. In both cases Chrysler service dept. Stated the car was fixed. According to dealer repair order. The car lost communication with tcm diagnostic code was u0101-00 performed star case s1408000482 I feel this car is no longer safe to drive. Has been returned to dealer 4-6 times since purchased new in June of 2014. Transmission was replaced at about 3. 000 miles. Currently pursuing lemon law. . . Current status is the case is being audited.
