Transmission Sensor problems of the 2015 Chrysler 200

1 Transmission Sensor problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2020

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the transmission slipped while driving. Additionally, the vehicle failed to accelerate while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to three different independent mechanic and was diagnosed with a transmission sensor failure. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic a forth time and was diagnosed that the transmission failed however, the mechanic was unable to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired and was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact called dothan Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram fiat (4074 ross clark cir, dothan, al 36303), and informed the dealer of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

2 Transmission Sensor problem

Failure Date: 10/21/2017

The transmission sensor clusters may have insufficient crimps in the transmission wire harness, and as a result, the transmission may unexpectedly shift to neutral. The car is shaking right after I refilled the gas to full. I have been to the dealer to have the same problem fixed over 5 times. However, the same problem occured the next day after I was told the problem was fixed. I was driving the vehicle on the high way. All of a sudden, the transmission broke down and the car lost its power.

3 Transmission Sensor problem

Failure Date: 10/31/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 mph, the check engine warning light and the transmission warning light illuminated. In addition, the vehicle failed to accelerate and reverse. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed transmission sensor needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v470000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000. Ak.
