The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v114000 (air bags) and 15v470000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 44,000.
"takata recall". My airbag light sensor on the dash of my vehicle lit up along with the seatbelt light while I was driving by myself with the seatbelt on correctly and nothing sitting in any of the passenger seats. The dash displays a message of "service airbag system". When coming to a stop, the dash displays"driver seatbelt unbuckled" while my seatbelt is buckled. I have checked the vehicle for recalls and none are currently listed with the NHTSA or the dealership under my particular VIN. I have had the vehicle diagnosed at a Chrysler dealership/service center and was notified that the orc ("occupant restraint controller") was non responsive. They (Chrysler service center employee) informed me that I was responsible for the care and maintenance of the safety device that is defective in my vehicle. While sitting in park with the vehicle motor running in a parking lot there were three loud pops in my vehicle and a smelly smoky substance throughout the vehicle. I did not see any air bags visibly deploy.
My airbag light came on and it shows that it won't deploy if I was in a wreck.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the seat belt and air bag warning indicators illuminated intermittently. The dealer and manufacturer had not been contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 73,000.
The airbag light keeps coming on and off. Took to dealership and firat they told me it was wires then they said I needed to replace the whole system.
Service airbag light on. Apparently a common issue per search on internet. Since airbags are a safety issue, is there a reason this has not been recalled? poorly designed harness under seats allows for wires to be easily damaged or become loose from moving seat or being bumped by backseat passengers. Received estimate to repair in excess of $2800. 00.

Airbag light came on in mid to late 2018. Car had ~65,000 at the time. Had the car diagnosed at the dealership and they said it was a wiring harness and charged me $300 to fix it. March 2019, the airbag light comes on. It appears on the dash for no apparent reason as I'm driving at highway speeds. After the initial audible and visual alarm, the visual alarm stays on and the audible alarm repeats every minute. Returned the car to the dealership (autopark Chrysler Jeep in cary, north carolina) expecting that the repair would be covered due to the recent repair. They told me it was a different wiring harness and it would be ~$3300. When I asked the service manager if the car was hazardous to drive, he responded "absolutely". I have since parked the car and it has sat idle since.
My car stalls when I start to drive. If I don't let it idle in park for a good 15 minutes it will stall and tells me to put it in park. Once it stalls it is difficult to restart. Also the airbag light keeps coming on. If I hit the smallest pothole the airbag light comes on and it gives me a message stating service airbags. Also the driverside seat came untracked and cannot move it forward or backwards without it making a weird noise.
Air bag light continues to come on and off, states service air bag system and even then like mentioned it used to go off and on now the light continues to stay on.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200 limited. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds the air bag warning indicator light was illuminated. Additionally, the service air bag system message was displayed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 48,000. Ap.
Airbag light is on the diagnostic came back as in open circuit in the passenger squib dealership says have to replace both seat harnesses. The dealer says it's not a safety issue.
Note this did not all happen in the same day you are separate occurrences. First issue car shift itself in the park when I was at a red light on a city street would not shift back into. Second airbag light keeps coming on telling me to service airbag system comes on and off. 3rd I lose all power to electrical components. I was driving at night on the highway I lost all power to my headlights interior lights radio everything electrical.
I purchased my 200 in 2017, the abs indicator light will not go off, there actually a recall but, my VIN doesn't show it. My emergency park has ignites on its while stationary at a stop sign and while in traffic at a red light, thankfully there wasn't any semi-trucks behind me because, there would have been a fatality. The car has lost power while in motion at least 3 times. Just recently my car become stuck in neutral and the car would not move. I called Chrysler, they stated that it was a powertrain issue and it would be covered with my warranty, so they paid for the tow to the dealership, the dealership had the car for a day, they counterclaimed what Chrysler stated, they claimed that it was because, the battery was just replaced so the computer needed to be re-set but, this happened on 2/12/2019 and my battery was replaced on 9/2018. There was a recall in 8/2015 for this exact same issue. I talked to the guys at my regular service station and as soon as I told them what happen they knew that I was lied to by the local Chrysler dealership.

The airbag light goes off for no reason, had in the shop 3 times and they keep resetting the light. The last time they said that it may possibly have a short somewhere in the harness.
The airbag indicator is constantly turning on and off saying that the airbags needs to be serviced.
I have a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving my car will just stall in the middle of traffic and not move, air bag light continues to come on repeatedly. I've had this issue looked at twice by the dealership. They charge me and swear it's fixed. This is the third time this has occurred and I get no one with the dealership. The situation is horrifying and unsafe. I decide to place a review seeing I'm getting nowhere with my local dealership. I just need the issue resolved.
Tl the contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that there was no failure with the horn operating until the vehicle was serviced for an unspecified manufacturer recall regarding the air bags. Months after the air bag recall was serviced by massey yardley Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram (777 north state road 7, plantation, FL 33317, 954-327-4000), the horn failed to function properly and various warning indicators flashed on the instrument panel without warning. The contact was waiting for a response from the dealer to determine if they could duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 46,000.
My airbag light stays on permanently. It used to come on intermittently. I have had the problem fixed twice by a Chrysler repair facility. I was told not to worry it's just a wiring harness problem. I'm scared because I've seen airbag recalls and I don't know why my car hasn't been recalled yet. My car also seems to be jerking more frequently. It jerks sometimes when I'm accelerating. I was told this was normal because of the type of engine. I inquired about this not long after I bought the car in 2015. The jerking seems to be getting worse. My check engine light stays on. I can provide info that my airbag sensor problem was fixed twice.
My airbag light comes on and off, most of the time it stays on though. Also, the car will die after driving and will stall while driving. It also appears that there are some sort of electrical issues with the car and the gears shift strange, sometimes throwing me forward while driving.
When driving, a service airbag system message appears and the airbag light comes on. This happens every few minutes while driving on city streets and highways. The vehicle was taken to a dealership several months ago and we were told it has to do with a plug under the driver side seat which bends easily. It was fixed, but has started happening again. There are several reports online on various sites such as google and youtube reporting the same issue. My concern is that the airbags won't deploy if we were to get into an accident. I feel the plug should be recalled and replaced with one that will not malfunction. This is a serious safety concern and is not an isolated incident.
Upon starting car' airbag light may or may not be on. Light turns on and off without warning and has been ongoing. Seems to be rough idle' when I place the car in gear it jerks. During normal driving the car stalls causing a safety concern for rear end impact while airbag light may be on that may cause injury or death. This matter should be investigated and corrective measures taken. After reading testimonials about other 2015 Chrysler 200 owners' there obviously is a pattern with safety concerns.
Tl - the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200c. The contact stated that when she started her vehicle the air bag indicator illuminated and stayed on. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76550. Jc.
Air bag light fails to turn off even after its been serviced . Middle console and screen constantly getting stuck/ frozen while driving. . Also it accelerates by itself sometimes!.
Occupant classification module in the passenger seat fails unexpectedly causing airbag light on and shut down of the entire vehicle airbag system. Similar to the s09/NHTSA 16v-114, but vehicle was not part of that recall campaign.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Chrysler 200. While driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to boch new to you used car superstore (1201 providence hwy route 1, the automile, norwood, MA 02062, (781)332-4756) where it was diagnosed that the srs air bag sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in a recall; therefore, she would need to pay full price for the repair. The failure mileage was 53,900.
The air bag service light continues to to come on and the air bag light stays on.
I was driving at night an hit a curb and the airbag light came on and will not go back off. The car only has 43965 miles on the car as I do not drive it alot. They said it is not a factory issue, yet I see alot of people complaining of the airbag issue on this model car. I am very dissatisfied with this Chrysler and will not buy another.
I was sitting in my car and notice the airbag light appeared and I knew I had just got it fixed at a Chrysler dealership that charge me $183 for diagnostics when they seen it itself. Also it keeps going on and off couple of days later my car would not start. It was not the battery because the lights were on there was no start for the click I waited about 20 minutes and it started something are wrong with these Chrysler cars it is imperative why a car should not start or airbag light keep coming on once they are fixed I will never bye a Chrysler again this is harmful to me and my children something needs to be done.
My airbag light will come on and then go off. It has been doing this for about a year.
Takata recall my airbag light keeps coming on after I already took it back to get it fixed at the dealership. My engine won't turn on when it is hot outside, the car takes a long time to excelerate on the city street and highway.
