On July 4 the abs light came on for no reason several times , staying on for long periods of time. There was a clicking noise in the steering colum and wheel . It sounded like it was coming from the left side. On July 5 , I was driving to work on a back road with several curves . The abs light came on again . Clicking was still happening as well. All of a sudden I felt like I was sliding on a sheet of ice. I swirved from side to side and could not get my car under control. Then my vehicle was on two wheels on the passenger side . Which then slide off the road and down a embankment turning several times and landing on the roof of the car. The air bags never deployed. I am now suffering with a broken collar bone due to the accident.

At approximately my air bag light has lit up, off and on for two weeks now. My car was purchased last year in June. It had 37k miles when bought and now has 55k. I called the dealership we bought it from and they don't service Chryslers. I called Chrysler and they said too bad, we can't help you. My warranty just ran out and now I am stuck with out of pocket expenses even though they are not sure what is wrong with it. They said my airbags will not deploy if in an accident when this light is on. I am not sure what to do since this is our family vehicle. I have seen where other year, make, and models have been recalled for this very reason. Please help.
I got into a car accident in may of 2016. My air bags did not deploy, as they should have given the speed I was going. I also was not notified of this recall until later that year. I have called and checked online to see when the parts would be in to have the recall issue solved and I have been told they do not have an eta and the parts aren't available.

Airbag warning light on dash, Chrysler stated it was only recalled for computer software update. Dealership stated airbag has internal failure of orc and needs console replaced. Chrysler stated that they would have repaired problem if my car was 2011 model. Would not repair airbag issue since it is 2012 model. Airbags may not deploy when needed, and may deploy when not needed. Very dangerous issue, dealership wants over 450. 00 to correct.
Takata recall, this new car is a 2016 200s with5000 miles. This car caused a accident on 02/09/16 when the front brakes locked up at 50 miles an hour. Sending the driver into a light pole. When the vehicle hit the pole the air bags did not deploy from the steering. The air bags over all doors did deploy and the air bags on the side of the front seat did deploy but never the steering wheel air bag. The brakes are faulty and have gone all the way to the floor when pressing on the brake. By pumping the brakes the brake would work. When the accident happened the driver pressed the brake to turn a corner but rather than the vehicle slowing down the brakes locked down in front and sent the vehicle across the road into a light pole.
My Chrysler 200 had been recalled mid 2015 for a glitch in their computer system that required all Chrysler, Dodge, ram, and fiat vehicles with the 8. 4 screen to have a chip sent out and installed by self to update and instill security to those cars. In January of 2016 I was involved in a collision in my Chrysler 200. My entire front end was knocked off as I was awaiting a turn in a center lane on a city street. My engine dropped and all fluids were expelled from this vehicle, my air bags did not deploy. When I called concerned about it I was told that my vehicle was tested with a hand device in a junk yard and that I had not been hit hard enough or in the right place for them to deploy. I could not believe due to the force and damage done but was still told by a Chrysler representative that there was no malfunction with the air bags. The car was a total loss but was resold to a dealership in cincinnati, OH and put up for sale. I am still receiving notifications about the car due to uconnect and is very concerned about this same vehicle being sold and put on the road.

I get a recall about air bag (something about the seats) and my airbag light comes on. I take it in and the dealer wanted to charge a diagnostic charge. I contacted Chrysler and was told to take it back to the dealer and they would look at it. Took it back, and the dealer, herman jenkins in union city TN, stated they could not find the problem. Today I have a air bag light on all the time. Was told by a mechanic, that if the light was on the air bags will not deploy. My wife drive this car every day. I will not buy another Chrysler, if they can't stand behind their product. Could not believe that the dealer could not fix a product they sell!.
When I purchased the vehicle in 2013 it was considered used at the dealer and soon after purchasing it the passenger seat belt would not unbuckle when the passenger pressed the red button to unlatch the belt. Quite a few times the passenger had to literally climb out from under the seat belt to get out of the vehicle and if it was still latched I really had to pull hard to get it to unbuckle. Sometimes on long trips I would make the passenger sit in the back seat because this became quite an issue. Sometimes it would unbuckle as it should have and other times I fought with it so hard I never thought it would unbuckle. Of course this would happen when the car was stationary but getting ready to drive with everyone putting on their seat belts and it would only be the occupant seat belt that would do this when I parked and everyone was departing the vehicle. The seat belt would not unbuckle. I received a recall notice for this problem without having a solution on or near the recall date of September 13, 2016. . I have been checking the recalls. Mopar. Com site and there is still no solution. If there was any kind of accident where the occupant could not get the seat belt unbuckled and the airbag not deploying it could be serous if not deadly. I have the original recall notice and a recent update stating the they still do not know how to fix this problem. Who sends out a recall notice without a solution? that worried me right away. I feel they should have given the people that received this recall notice a solution right away there are people that have might have been seriously injured or even died because of this. This recall is something that they stated if someone other than the dealer fixed the problem it would still have to go to the dealer to make sure it was fixed correctly. It started happening right away and maybe thats why it was back at the dealer.
