Engine Noise Problems of Chrysler 200

My 2015 Chrysler 200 will just die while being driven. I started the car drove less than a mile when it turned off and coasted to a stop. I tried to restart the car but it just kept making noises, as I kept trying to get it to start it caused the battery to drain so low I had to call aaa . This seems to be a big problem as there are a ton of other people that have had this same issue!.

I am asking you to issue a safety recall on my vehicle. You investigated the 2015 model for the same issue and it was recalled as a result. The 2016 is just as dangerous. Is there a reason why the lives of people who drive 2015 models are more valuable than mine or my children? it turns off while driving with no warning and leaves me in the middle of intersections! the steering cuts off too. I have to first struggle to control the steering, shift into park, push start, and wait, while I brace myself for the impact that is about to shatter my spine or kill my children! it began as soon as I hit 60k miles a few weeks ago and happens every time I drive it. It happens mostly when I am turning, sometimes when braking for a light, and sometimes it doesn't actually turn off, it just seems like it is suddenly in neutral and makes revving sounds when I hit gas but wont go, that's when message says 'service transmission'. I was making a u turn and almost hit a pole! it may start up with first try, or a few tries. It hasn't happened in high speeds on highway but that may be because I am too afraid to go that route anymore. Obviously this is a manufacturing defect. I paid cash for this vehicle and should not have to pay a penny to fix this, but if I or mine are injured I will spend every cent I have on a lawsuit. Car had been parked for about 5 hours. When I went to restart car made a noise like it was struggling to start. Turned car off and check oil appears to be full. Went to restart car and it would not restart. Multiple attempts were made to start car and while all lights and beeping came on car would not start again over a 15 min period. Can not push break down and when push the start button nothing happens. Car has also stalled out multiple times while driving in the last year. Chrysler dealership states its due to oil and it appears car is burning oil very fast. Chrysler states that the car will not start due to a safety mechanism to not allow the engine to overheat due to low oil. As oil has appeared full and checked multiple time unsure as to why the car would do this.

Randomly if I hit a bump my airbag light will come on. Now for a 2015 200 limited why am I needing to replace the whole starter assembly and now to have to replace the air shutter grille. The vehicle headlamps are extremely poor. It's very hard to see see on all highways, side streets etc. Now the traction stabilizers light came on as I was backing in to a parking space as well as my brakes just started making a squealing noise out no where as driving on the street. There no reason why there should not be a recall on multiple vehicle issues as most people are stating. Why isn't there a number I can call to file a compliant with all the vehicle issues I've experienced? this just crazy then to have to come outta $1,300. 00 for vehicle repairs is crazy! why does this vehicle stall when the oil is low shameful for the vehicle to stop and and barely start back! tires sucks outside mirrors always have to adjust this brand is garbage!! people everywhere is having issues with the vehicle starting. . Please do something about these vehicle issues. There is no reason why this vehicle is 3 years old and is stalling this is embarrassing. On top of having to pay a note that ridiculous. I want to be compensated in the amount of the vehicle repairs.

As I was in motion going about 20 mph with the car in drive (d), the car displayed a message as seen in the photo that states shift to park (p) to start. As, that message is displayed the steering wheel and the brakes lock up while the car is slowing down so you cannot shift the car to park until the car has come to a complete stop. Once the car comes to a complete stop, I shifted my car back to park and tried to restart the car. The car wouldn't restart right away. The engine and transmission would make a noise as if it were trying to start with the rpm's fluctuating to about 3 (3000 rpms) then go back to 0 then jump to 1 (1000 rpms) then back to 0 rpms where the engine would give out. I would have to wait a minute, while in the middle of traffic, then it would restart and run normally again. I called Chrysler corporate, due to the fact of having the whole transmission replaced while under warranty due to a transmission problem that grew after purchasing the car. Leslie from Chrysler gave me case id #: 34798487. I scheduled an appointment with darcars Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of silver spring located on 12511 prosperity dr, silver spring, MD 20904 to bring the car to get serviced and the issue looked at on August 7th 2018 at 10:45 am. I am currently waiting for a diagnosis of the issue to be addressed by the dealership. Please see pictures attached for more information.

My car has been "jerking" since I bought & was repeatedly told by cjd arlington in hat it was the 9 speed tranny & the car has to relearn my driving. 12/28 my car lost power and went into neutral. It had to be towed in. They called the next day and told me the car didn't store any error messages and was safe to pick up. I refused and asked them to test the car more because there obviously had to be an issue since the car cut off & went into neutral as I was braking at a light. I had the car towed to a different cjd in town & they called the next day stating I needed a new engine and possibly a new tranny. They only replaced the engine & the tcm valve. I got the car back(1/6/17) and the next morning I pulled out on a street and the car jerked so hard. It left my neck in pain for the remainder of the day. I contacted Chrysler customer care to file a complaint. I was told to take the car back to see if they could fix the issue before a resolution is determined. I was told I needed a new tranny this time. The car is still jerking, hesitating/lagging at time, and very scary to drive. I took the car in last week 2/9 with complaints and they gave it right back a few hours later saying they didn't see anything wrong. I showed a video of the car running and sounding like a lawn mover. They said the noise wasn't normal but since it wasn't showing any error messages or making the noise there they couldn't keep it. Ive been trying to reach my case manager(bridgett)with fca & she won't return my phone calls as usual. She offered a trade in assistance program but it had to be another cjd vehicle & 2017 which I can't afford & don't want another vehicle from them. Im tired of driving around in fear that my car will lose power again or cause me to get hit. Im upside down & nobody seems to care about I have 8 service invoices about this issue. The first was 5/25. I purchased the car 3/19.

While driving we experienced the vehicle had stopped and we were just coasting for a few blocks. The engine stopped running. Some messages popped up and afterwards, when we tried to restart the vehicle, it would not turn on. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Good thing we were not going fast or in traffic or I don't know what would of happened. We towed the vehicle, again, to the dealership where they too saw that the vehicle was not turning on. The vehicle just made a noise like it wanted to turn on but just couldn't. Everything else was working, radio, windows, etc.

As I pulled out onto the highway, my car began to stall, it would not pull forward. It made a noise like the transmission is going out. So, I came to a complete stop and started on my route again. This has happened several times. The last time was 2/21/2015 at just over 5100 miles. My car would not change gears, so I had to come to a complete stop and turn the car off and restart the car in order for the gears to change. I have also noticed that the floor board on the drive side passenger floor is wet. I have no idea where the water is coming from.

This is a problem that started with the prior owner of the vehicle but the connecting rods in the engine are failing the hazard switch does not work and the traction control does not work I noticed atleast the connecting rod was a safety recall and VIN specific it was noticed when the cam shaft started making noise due to debris.

I stopped at a red light, light went green and I let off the brake and car doesn't move. I pushed the gas and it still doesn't move. Also the engine makes no noise. . Car was still on so I had to put in park and turn car off and restart to get it going. Very dangerous and this is the third time its happened.
