When stopped or slowing down from barnes road that crosses powers one of the busy roads in colorado springs, the car shoots forward real fast almost shooting me into on coming traffic. This has happened several times now, but my foot is on the break. . Then when you let your foot off the break it wont move like it has slipped out of gear, I push the gas pedal a couple of times and then it goes into gear. At times when you put it in reverse all of a sudden the e break engages and it jolts you to a dead stop,I have to push the button a couple of times for it to release. I'm starting to wish I never bought this car,.

2015 Chrysler 200s transmission failures. Numerous times the gear would slip from drive to neutral while at stoplights. The dashboard would instruct me to shift into park the choose desired gear. That's if I'm lucky and the shift knob doesn't lock, preventing me from shifting into park or any other. Numerous times it has disengaged from drive to neutral while driving on the highway at speeds ranging from 55 mph to 70 mph. Having find a way to the shoulder with no power while activating the hazard lights has proven quite disturbing to maneuver through traffic. Several times it has slipped out of drive while going through intersections leaving me disabled in the middle of busy roads at the mercy of oncoming traffic, hoping they brake in time. It has nearly been the cause of several wrecks having loss of power, steering wheel becomes hard to turn and I've nowhere to turn off of road for lack of shoulder or curbs creating obstacles. Regardless of where it occurs , if the shift knob is locked, the car is not budging. It is locked in the transmission preventing any way of pushing it. I can't drive my son anywhere for fear it could result in something I'd rather not think of.
I was coming to a stop at a stop sign, I was at about 15mph when the dash lights came on. The parking brake activated and the transmission dropped out of gear as I came to a skidding halt. Service transmission and service parking brake messages came up on the dash. Then wouldn't shift into any other gears even with the transmission override pulled. Luckily I was on a quieter road in my town.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving approximately 30 mph, the check engine light suddenly illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The transmission would not immediately shift out of the drive position and an electrical burning odor was present. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the electrical wiring harness failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.
After only owning my vehicle for less than 72 hours, and driving about 380 miles, my transmission appears to have had a complete failure. I noticed it downshifting very hard at a stop light, then again a mile or so down the road. By the time I got to another stop light, my car downshifted so violently it slammed me into my seat belt and scared me badly. It felt as if the car had shifted in park while it was still rolling forward at about 10 miles an hour. When I attempted to accelerate away form the light, the car would not up shift, so I had to limp it into the next parking lot at 4k rpms at about 7 mph. When I pulled into the parking space, the vehicle would not shift into park. After several attempts, the car finally shifted out of drive into reverse, and after several more attempts, it finally shifted into park allowing me to turn off the engine. While I was not really injured behind a slight soreness from the seat belt, had I been travelling at highway speeds when the vehicle down shifted into park, there would have been a serious accident.
The contact owns a 2011 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, over a bump, the steering wheel was difficult to maneuver. In addition, when the brake pedal was depressed it would vibrate. The contact mentioned that the harder the brake pedal was depressed, the harder the vibration. The contact also stated that the vehicle shifts out of gear and accelerates independently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the tires needed to be rotated. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

This vehicle does not drive properly. The rpms run high and many times does not shift out of 5 gear while driving at high speeds. I have complained about this since I bought the vehicle, however have been told "that is how this car drives", "it is ok to red line your car". After several complaints the dealership gm finally agreed there was something wrong and the "flashed" my car. After that I was getting 30 mpg highway and it was shifting without me having to take my foot of the gas. Less then 5,000 miles later it is back to the way it was. Dealership now says it is fine, yet I am averaging on the interstate 22 - 25 mpgs. I am so frustrated with the service I am receiving.
Transmission disengaged on the highway and the car coasted to a stop. After waiting 20 min I was able to limp off the highway, but the transmission would not shift out of first gear.
