Water Pump problems of the 2006 Chrysler 300

1 Water Pump problem

Failure Date: 01/16/2018

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While the vehicle was being inspected at massey yardley Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram (777 sr 7, plantation, FL), the contact was informed that the water pump had a leak and the cylinder head, water pump, timing chain cover, and gaskets needed to be replaced and cleaned. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that they would only cover NHTSA campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags), and any claims would have to go through the third party insurance company. The failure mileage was approximately 127,200.

2 Water Pump problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2014

Tl-the contact a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that when the vehicle was ignited, there was a strong oder coming from the exhaust system. The check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the head gasket and the water pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000. Aw.
