I bought my car, Chrysler 300 2021 at the hemet CA dealership in 2021. Hemet Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram. The car presented with several issues including, difficulty starting, engine misfires, stalling, and decreased fuel efficiency. The low fuel warning light on my car's dashboard would not come on when gas was low at all, until it left me stranded in the freeway far away from home and a dealership. I had to take it in to closest car service center to have the fuel pump replaced. These fuel pumps should last for 100,000 miles or more. My car had only 69,101 miles. The gas level on the dashboard was stuck at the level when I added gas the last time, again not indicating that it needed more gas. I do not see any recalls issued on fuel pump for my cars year, make and model. But a lot of people have reported the same issues. Can someone respond to this email? I want Chrysler to understand that this is not acceptable. This issue should be part of a recall. VIN [xxx] kindly, [xxx] [xxx] [xxx] VIN [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The computer issue has been on going for a while. The computer screen jumps around on its own changes air and heat settings, radio settings, blanks out on the rear view site while in use. Transmission skips on take off and bumps when changing gears particularly reverse and park. . . . . . Recently, last week, the car cut off in the middle of turning into a drive way no warning light or sign of distress. I attempted to start it and it just clicked like it was out of gas but wasnt. The (p) for parking kept blinking because it would not go in park completely so it never started . I had to use the parking brake to prevent it from rolling. I towed it to a auto repair shop and it was determined that there was an electrical fault with the fuel tank. So almost 1,ooo$ later it was replaced and its running however the transmission is not quite right. Im concerned about the fuel pump issue because it was sudden with no type of warning light etc. Theres been no "park outside recall' for this VIN# and I would like to know what I should to do to somewhat ensure my safety . Thank you for your consideration during this difficult time. I hope to hear back with a solution or advice.

Engine stalls after fueling tank. This has been confirmed by an independent service center. Spent months and lots of dollars trying to fix problem. Did research on internet and found Chrysler had issued bulletin 14-002-14 showing there a problem with chryser 2005 and 2006 300's stalling. The fuel pump is in the tank and not monitored by engine computer. The fuel pump had gone bad causing the car to stall. Called Chrysler and they said that the bulletin did not cover my model. Can not use car now because it is a safety hazard. Need help on this issue.

My car will outright just stop for no reason. I will sit at a light and the rpm guage will start going out of control and the car will rev on its own. Then I will start driving and ti will be find until I go to press on the brakes. Then the whole car will cut out. I'm able to get it to turn over again after two or three efforts of turning the key and pumping the brake. It has once done it with my daughter in the car, which I am not okay with. Luckily, we were turning into a neighborhood and not onto the highway into high speed traffic. It turned off and on about 7 times down the road before it started running properly again. It seemed to happen every time I would hit the brakes or attempt to turn. The car cut out like it had run out of gas even though there was plenty in the tank. All the lights on the right side (traction, abs, etc) came on and then disappeared once it started running okay again. I had my fuel pump replaced twice thinking that was the issue and it was not. Something is wrong with this car and it needs to be recalled before someone gets hurt and it's to late to fix it.

Just bought this 2012 Chrysler 300 and not even having it 2 weeks I filled up my tank and smelled a very strong fuel smell. My husband lifted up the back seat and found a quite large puddle just sitting on top of the fuel pump. We thought it was the oring but we replaced that yesterday and filled it up again and noticed another good size puddle on top of the fuel pump again.

Fuel pump leak.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact also stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a fuel pump failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. Vehicle fuel pump failed at 17,000 miles due, apparently, to ethanol content in gasoline. Chrysler marketed this model during the 2014 year as a flex-fuel vehicle (ffv). Evidently this particular vehicle (as well as many others) are not actually intended to be flex-fuel despite Chrysler's prior announcements and there is no warning whatsoever that these vehicles may not be operated on a mixture of gas-ethanol. This issue could cause serious injury or loss of life if the fuel pump were to fail during operation on the road.

I have been smelling gas for the last six months. O n 11-21-2015 it was dropped off at the dealer for an oil change. When I picked it up all the doors and trunk were open presumably to air out the fumes. I had my son check to see what the problem was,he found fuel leaking from the right side of the fuel tank. A large area of the sound proofing under the car was soaked with gasoline. After checking several Chrysler blogs he found out this is a common problem on several Chrysler models around 2011. I took the car to the dealer who advised it should be safe to drive. They found they found the right side fuel pump level unit leaking on top . I believe it is a dangerous situation and should be recalled.
The engine shuts off while I'm driving and in reverse. I can restart it with no problem as long as I immediately step on the gas peddle. I have to shift into neutral to keep the engine running while at a stop light & back to drive. When I turn the key I do not hear the fuel pump like I used too! I've had repairs costing$509. 96 and still have the same problem! I think my fuel pump is not working correctly or about to stop working! is there a recall for the fuel pump?.
