2 Steering Wheel problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 06/19/2006

I rented a Chrysler 300 and discovered what I feel are two potential safety hazards. 1. ) the cruise control is mounted just above the turn signal. When exiting the highway, I started to signal a right turn and realized that the lever felt too small. Luckily I moved my hand to the signal indicator. If I had lifted the cruise control lever, the car would have tried to resume the speed I had been using on the highway (65 mph). 2. ) the top of the steering wheel covers the speedometer. Drivers need to duck down to look through the spokes to see their speed. The wheel is adjustable, I had it at the bottom. I am six feet tall.
